IT must be bittersweet for Prince William to see his little girl growing up to look more and more like his beloved mum every day. So many people have commented on the likeness between the late Princess Diana and Charlotte, the granddaughter she sadly never met. Diana often spoke of her desire for a daughter and she would have doted on Princess Charlotte. I can imagine proud Granny taking her to Disneyland and buying Princess outfits. She would have let Charlotte run riot in her bedroom, trying on all her designer clothes and shoes and raiding her make-up bag. It’s so tragic that all of these happy times were not to be. When William saw all of his children come into the world, most especially baby Charlotte, he must have felt the loss of his mother even more keenly. Gallery: Nearly 9 years later: What happened to Marsha Brantley? Marsha Brantley's friends said she didn't wear her emotions on her sleeve and didn't easily open up to people, so in March 2009, when she told them she'd been "so depressed she couldn't get off the couch," they knew something was wrong. "I know we all looked at her, 'cause it was just an unusual statement coming from Marsha," said Reggie Jay. "It was a complete shock." Jay, who was closest to Brantley, said she let her know she was there for her if she needed to talk, but Brantley immediately "clammed up" and didn't talk about it any further. The group of four friends had gathered for their monthly meeting of the Thunder Rock Writers' Group, a group formed by Brantley, at Nansy Grill's home in Cleveland, Tenn. That would be the last time the women saw Brantley. Nearly a decade later, Brantley's disappearance remains unsolved. And though authorities believe she is dead, they're unable to prove it was the result of a … [Read more...] about Nearly 9 years later: What happened to Marsha Brantley? [photos]
