Online Complaint Box for children to file complaints of sexual abuse launched

An online complaint box for reporting child sexual abuse, the POCSO e-Box was launched by the Minister for Women and Child Development, Smt. Maneka Sanjay Gandhi in New Delhi today. Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO), e-Box, is an online complaint management system for easy and direct reporting of sexual offences against children and timely action against the offenders under the POCSO Act, 2012. Minister of State for Women and Child Development , Smt Krishna Raj, Secretary WCD, Ms Leena Nair, NCPCR Chairperson, Smt Stuti Kacker and other senior officials of the WCD Ministry and NCPRC were present on the occasion.Speaking on  the occasion, Smt Maneka Gandhi said that the idea of an e-Box came out of a police initiative in which physical complaint boxes were placed in schools. ‘Buy you a ticket back to Mexico’: Customer chides Jack in the Box worker

(HOUSTON) — An angry Texas Jack in the Box customer said “buy you a ticket back to Mexico” to a worker after a dispute over a coupon, according to a video of the exchange. Footage of the incident, which happened at a Houston area location of the fast-food chain, shows an unidentified man verbally blasting an employee named Maria. According to ABC station KTRK-TV, which obtained a copy of the video that was filmed by someone else in the restaurant, the man appears to be upset after Maria asked her manager if a coupon that he presented for a free hamburger was valid. The man is heard speaking to another employee, saying that the female employee should “buy a ticket back to where you came from.” When the male employee, who is not identified, asks what was wrong, the customer said “she told my son no. Fears for BBC radio host Jimmy Carol in coma after Benidorm bar attack as son reveals ‘very slim chance of him pulling through’

AN EX-BBC Radio presenter and veteran entertainer has a "very slim chance of pulling through" after a brutal Benidorm bar attack left him in a coma with severe head injuries.  Jimmy Carol, 63, has been seriously ill after an assault on Tuesday left him with a brain bleed - but his son, James, has today been told "things are not looking good" for his dad.  The comedian, who is known for hosting shows on Radio Sheffield, reportedly "hit the floor already unconscious". Jimmy is said to have woken up briefly in a confused state before doctors decided to place him in an induced coma. He had immediate surgery to relieve pressure and swelling on his brain before being transferred to Alicante Hospital. But Jimmy's son, James, has today been warned his dad may die after a CT scan found his condition was worsening and was set to fly from Brazil to be by his father's bedside. Centre Launches Electronic-Box (She-Box) For Registering Complaints Related To Sexual Harassment At Workplace

The Ministry of Women and Child Development, on Monday, launched the “SHe-box” – an online complaint box – that will be hosted at the Ministry’s website (www.wcd.nic.in), for Government employees who face sexual harassment or abuse at work.“This portal is an initiative to provide a platform to women working or visiting any office of Central Government (Central Ministries, Departments, Public Sector Undertakings, Autonomous Bodies and Institutions etc.) to file complaints related to sexual harassment at workplace under the SH Act. Those who had already filed a written complaint with the concerned Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) constituted under the SH Act are also eligible to file their complaint through this portal,” a release said.Elaborating on the necessity and importance of the mechanism, the release further states, “Ensuring the dignity and safety of women must be first priority for any digital society.
