How soon after waking up do you check your phone? Do you compulsively refresh your Twitter feed? Can you find your way around without Google Maps? There are many obvious and tactile ways in which Silicon Valley has its hooks in our everyday lives. I have no idea what Snyder will do, nor do I have any idea how … [Read more...] about Snyder wanted to be judged by results. He probably didn’t mean Flint.
BRITS on Universal Credit are being slapped with £100 fines because bungling officials still haven't changed out of date NHS prescription forms. New slips with a tick box for people on Universal Credit have been in the pipeline at the Department of Health for over a year but STILL haven't been rolled out despite almost a million now being on the new benefits system. Mum-of-two, Kareena, from Leicestershire, said she'd been given at least 15 fines of up to £100 for her prescriptions since being on Universal Credit, despite showing evidence every month she was able to get them free. The 47-year-old told The Sun Online: "Every month I was getting a fine as my prescription delivery service was apparently checking the wrong box - I'm on Universal Credit but there's no box for that. "I'm having to watch every penny, I couldn't afford the fines. Whoever is designing these forms needs to change them now. "I was so worried at having to call them up every month, it's not good." … [Read more...] about Brits on Universal Credit slapped with £100 fines over out of date NHS prescription forms – here’s how to avoid them
