The video was posted to YouTube by the nautical news network gCaptain.In the video, a large cruise ship crashes into a dock on Roatan Island in Honduras. It rips up a section of the dock before hitting the beach nearby as people gawk and film the incident nearby.The ship in question was the Armonia, a 17-year-old ship belonging to the MSC cruise line. Between passengers and crew, the Armonia can hold more than 3,000 people. Watch: Massive 65,000-Ton Cruise Ship Smashes Into Dock

World A 65,000-ton cruise ship crashed into a dock in Honduras Tuesday morning. This caused minor damage to the liner but no passengers or crew members were injured. The incident happened at 11 a.m. in Roatan, the largest of the Bay Islands of Honduras, when the MSC Armonia arrived at a dock seemingly unable to stop. Footage posted by gCaptain, a maritime news website, shows the ship approaching the dock and turning as it collides with the pier. Sounds of shouting can be heard, with locals calling in Spanish for people to get out of danger. “While maneuvering alongside, for reasons that are currently still being duly investigated, the ship deviated from her course and grazed the end of the pier,” MSC Cruises wrote in an email to USA Today. Passengers Aboard Pacific Dawn Cruise Ship ‘Very Sad’ After Search for Woman Overboard Abandoned

World A search for a mother who fell overboard a P&O cruise ship near New Caledonia while on holiday has been called off, with the decision made to return to Brisbane. The woman, who was said to be on holiday with her husband and children, fell overboard the Pacific Dawn on Thursday (April 12) at around 4 p.m., according to SBS News. The ship was about 300 km west of New Caledonia, bound for Brisbane, but made the immediate decision to turn around and search for the woman, P&O Cruises said. The woman was 47 years old, according to the BBC, and the decision to call off the search was made on Friday morning by the Australian maritime authorities. Man Jumps Overboard Royal Caribbean Cruise; Search Called Off

The search has been called off for a man who jumped overboard his cruise ship Friday as it traveled to Cape Liberty, New Jersey, from the Bahamas. The 24-year-old man from the U.S. was seen "intentionally going overboard" the Anthem of the Seas ship just after 4 p.m. Friday when the vessel was off the coast of Virginia, Royal Caribbean Cruises manager Owen Torres said. "The ship immediately began a search for the guest and notified the U.S. Coast Guard," he said. "After several hours of searching, the Coast Guard released Anthem to resume its scheduled itinerary while USCG search operations continue," Torres said. The Coast Guard searched overnight for the young man by helicopter and sea, but by 11 a.m. Saturday the search was called off, NJ.com reports.
