· May 16, 2018 ·

The fake story was originally written by Maine resident Christopher Blair, aka “Busta Troll,” and published in April 2017 on his fake news website America’s Last Line of Defense, according to Politico. “Blair describes himself as a liberal troll, out to antagonize conservatives,” Politico reports. “But his work is so voluminous, and so consistently not interpreted as satire, that the fact-checking site Snopes has a tag and archive devoted to stories from it, with more than 35 entries.” … [Read more...] about How a fake story about a Supreme Court decision went viral

Supreme Court Blocks Deposition Of Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross In Census Citizenship Question Suit

· October 22, 2018 ·

“The probing discovery of the kind ordered in the Census case is just the kind of intrusion Hamilton warned against,” Sessions said, according to prepared remarks. “And we are seeing it in case after case. When a hot-button policy issue ends up in litigation, judges are starting to believe their role is to examine the entire process that led to the policy decision — to redo the entire political debate in their courtrooms.” … [Read more...] about Supreme Court Blocks Deposition Of Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross In Census Citizenship Question Suit

Fox’s Judge Napolitano Claims Supreme Court Decision Will Lead to ‘Illegal Immigrants’ Voting

· April 5, 2016 ·

Ginsburg appears to want to ensure non-voters like children or even grandparents are represented adequately in their communities.  I don’t think she was necessarily referring to illegal immigrants, but even, if she was, that still doesn’t mean the Court was paving the way to allow them to vote. That’s not something a Court would decide in a case like this, anyway. … [Read more...] about Fox’s Judge Napolitano Claims Supreme Court Decision Will Lead to ‘Illegal Immigrants’ Voting

PHOTOS: Brazil Transfixed as Supreme Court Jails Presidential Frontrunner

· April 5, 2018 ·

The STF disagreed by a slim margin. In a 6-5 vote, the justices rejected the habeas corpus petition, allowing the judge that initially convicted him, Sergio Moro, to issue a warrant of Lula’s arrest at any time. The president of the court, Justice Carmen Lúcia, voted against the petition, arguing that similar cases involving much lower-profile defendants had been decided that way. … [Read more...] about PHOTOS: Brazil Transfixed as Supreme Court Jails Presidential Frontrunner
