GHOSTLY images believed to show the disappeared MH370 passenger jet in the Cambodian jungle could actually show a US bomber downed during the Vietnam war. As helicopter fly over the area and a full-scale ground search begins some believe the intriguing image is actually of a F-105 Thunderchief  - a large ground attacker retired from the bloody conflict due to heavy loses. Aviation sleuth Ian Wilson claimed he found the doomed jet - which mysteriously vanished in 2014 with 239 people on board - lying partially hidden, on Google Maps. According to Wikipedia, 382 Thunderchief  aircraft were lost during the war, including 62 non-combat losses. Many Twitter users grabbed onto the new theory, with one even theorising how the plane crashed, based upon the Google image: "The lack of cockpit capity suggests this aircraft  hit th[e] ground vertically in an inverted flat spin." World International Affairs The Vietnamese government has jailed 12 members of an U.S.-based anti-communist group with roots stretching back to the Vietnam War. Those convicted include two American citizens—Nguyen James Han and Phan Angel—both of whom were sentenced to 14 years in jail. They will be deported to the U.S. upon completion of their terms, CNN reported. All 12 were accused of “anti-state” activities as members of the Provisional National Government of Vietnam (PNGV), which is headquartered in California. They were alleged to have plotted to bomb Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City, also known as Saigon.
