Experts at the weather station Weatherquest situated in the University of East Anglia in Ipswich stress that tomorrow could see much lower temperatures across Suffolk and North Essex, bringing with it sleet and wet snow.Today is a different story however, with a fairly mild and mostly cloudy start to the day.Light rain will also be a factor around mid-morning to the early afternoon before things give way to brighter spells.The brighter spells will then recede as a band of rain moves in from the west, bringing heavier showers for the middle to later part of the afternoon.The rain will eventually clear, giving us a solid spate of dry weather for the evening.It will remain pretty breezy … [Read more...] about Could it snow in East Anglia this week?

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning (the least severe) for fog or freezing fog patches between 3pm on Christmas Eve and 11am on Christmas Day, which will be widespread and slow to clear in some places. It said: “Fog or freezing fog patches will quickly become more widespread later on Christmas Eve, and will also be dense in places. Police said the woman was attacked in the early hours of Thursday morning near to the lake at the Earlham Road campus.She is currently being supported by specialist officers. Norfolk police said a man in his 20s has been arrested in connection with the incident. He was taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre, where he will be questioned. The area was sealed off throughout most of the day as detectives carried out their investigation.Police said the woman was attacked between 2am and 2.30am after being approached by a man.• Officers are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone that may have any information regarding the incident.
