Cat and dog owners' top 25 pet peeves include the animals stealing food, howling in the night, and walking across the kitchen counter. A quarter of the 1,000 pet owners polled admitted they find their furry friends frustrating, at least some of the time, but 82 percent put the antics down to their cheeky character, while 7 in 10 find their misbehavior "endearing." It also emerged that 59 percent enjoy telling friends when their pets have been up to no good, including when they walk across their laptop while working and begging for food from the table. ‘Don’t Go By Their Script’, Says Aaditya Thackeray on Rebel MLAs Fearing for their Safety on Return to Mumbai
Maharashtra cabinet minister Aaditya Thackeray’s fiery speech at the auditorium of Lala College on Saturday did not betray veiled threats against the rebel camp led by Eknath Shinde. Shiv Sainiks gathered to hear Aaditya’s speech, which was an attempt to rejuvenate the cadre. The speech, however, was followed by loud calls to “tear up the clothes” of rebel Shiv Sena leaders as they reach Mumbai airport. Aaditya added to the voices, saying, “The road to Vidhan Sabha goes through Worli and Byculla, right.” Responding to a question by CNN-News18 about how rebels were saying they did not feel safe about returning, Aaditya called it their “script”. “I don’t think we should go by their script. Are you reading their script? What is important is everyone is safe and together and Shiv Sena- MVA government is going to win in Maharashtra,” he said. Aaditya started his speech by saying everyone has eyes on the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation. “Every party is eying the BMC, the BJP as … [Read more...] about ‘Don’t Go By Their Script’, Says Aaditya Thackeray on Rebel MLAs Fearing for their Safety on Return to Mumbai
Iran Launches Retaliatory Missiles Into Syria Over Parade Attack
Tehran: Iran's paramilitary Revolutionary Guard said Monday that it launched ballistic missiles into eastern Syria, targeting militants the force blames for a recent attack on a military parade. The launch was the Islamic Republic's second such missile attack on Syria in over a year. Iranian state television and the state-run IRNA news agency said the attacks "killed and wounded" militants in Syria, without elaborating. Syrian state media did not immediately acknowledge the strike. The TV aired footage of one of its reporters standing by as one of the missiles was launched, identifying the area as being in Iran's western province of Kermanshah. A state TV-aired graphic suggested the missiles flew over central Iraq near the city of Tikrit before landing near the city of Abu Kamal, in the far southeast of Syria. Abu Kamal is held by forces loyal to Syria's embattled President Bashar Assad. However, the city has been targeted even now by militants from the extremist Islamic State … [Read more...] about Iran Launches Retaliatory Missiles Into Syria Over Parade Attack
