Giuliani said during an appearance on CNN that “it was a mistake” and rejected the idea that it was a lie. He adds: “I have no idea how they got it wrong, but they got it wrong.” A January letter from Trump’s lawyers to the special counsel investigating Russian meddling says Trump “dictated a short but accurate response” about the meeting.
