Theresa May delivered a defiant message to EU leaders on Brexit today after they humiliatingly rejected her Chequers plan at a summit in Salzburg. In a statement from No 10 this afternoon, the PM gave EU leaders an ultimatum and said she would offer no more concessions until they give ground. She said negotiations had reached an “impasse” and that the ball was now in the EU’s court.
