Shamima Begum, who is now 19, was found in a refugee camp in Syria last month, gave birth to a baby boy at the weekend, and wants to return to the UK. Questions have now been raised about how this can happen as she is a British national. International law forbids nations from making people stateless by revoking their only citizenship. It is not known if Ms Begum, who is of Bangladeshi heritage, holds dual citizenship. There has been speculation that the Home Office believes that he may be able to act against her because her mother holds a Bangladeshi passport. The reformed ex-criminal said he and his friends posted selfies while wearing balaclavas in which they threatened they were “coming for your bikes”. He would tear around Bristol on stolen bikes with his friends until they ran out of petrol and then set them ablaze. According to police, 10 motorbikes are stolen every week in the city. In a BBC Inside Out West documentary, the reformed thief explained why he went on his crime spree. Ryan – the fake name he is given in the BBC programme to protect his identity – said he would hack off chains with bolt cutters and sometimes even used angle grinders to steal a motorbike. The Sunday Mirror reported Samantha, a paternal half-sister of Meghan, wrote to the royal saying it was “time” she reunited with father Thomas. According to Mr Markle, the relationship appears to have broken down and the father and daughter have not spoken for more than six months. The 74-year-old was caught up in controversy days before the wedding of Harry and Meghan after he allegedly staged paparazzi photographs of himself.
