Ukrainian defenders light up sky with flurry of rockets

Ukrainian defenders fired a flurry of rockets into the night sky to extend what they called a "fiery greeting" to their Russian counterparts. The attack was reportedly carried out by members of the 59th Motorized Brigade, named after Yakov Gandziuk, a formation of the Ukrainian Ground Forces. The Ukrainian military said they sent a "fiery greeting" to the Russians to show them how "brightly Ukrainian artillery shines" in the night sky. In the official footage, defending soldiers are seen sending a barrage of rockets into the air from the safety of their foxhole. The Ukrainian Center for Strategic Communications (StratCom) said on May 26: "That's how brightly Ukrainian artillery shines for the occupiers! "The fiery greeting was conveyed to the enemy by the 59th separate motorized infantry brigade named after Yakov Gandziuk. A step closer to treating oral cancer without surgery

Researchers in Mumbai have moved a step closer to treating surface tumours such as oral, breast and cervical cancer and other tumours such melanoma and colon cancer through photothermal ablation using gold-polymer nanoparticles and near infrared light. The researchers from Mumbai’s Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay and Tata Memorial Centre have synthesised hybrid polymer-gold nanoparticles as photothermal agent to ablate solid tumours. The near infrared light heats up the nanoparticles and the heated nanoparticles, in turn, can kill the cancer cells. Unlike other agents tried out by others, the hybrid nanoparticles used by the Mumbai team has no toxicity, is biodegradable and gets cleared from the body through urine. Sensex climbs 327 points in early trade

Equity benchmark indices bounced back on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, after declining for two days, with the Sensex climbing 327 points in early trade, helped by buying in index major Reliance Industries and positive trends in the Asian markets. The 30-share BSE Sensex jumped 326.98 points to 54,379.59 points in early deals. The broader NSE Nifty gained 98.2 points to 16,223.35 points. From the Sensex pack, IndusInd Bank, Nestle, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Reliance Industries Limited, NTPC and HDFC were the prominent gainers in early trade. In contrast, Asian Paints, Tech Mahindra, TCS, HCL Technologies, Wipro and Tata Steel were among the laggards. The BSE benchmark declined 236 points or 0.43 per cent to settle at 54,052.61 points on Tuesday. The Nifty dropped 89.55 points or 0.55 per cent to end at 16,125.15 points. Many tourists who visit wildlife parks are often spotted getting clicked with different animals. They are always usually under the supervision of the park authorities. However, in a recent scary incident, a woman ended up holding one of the most venomous animals on her palm, unknowingly. The sea creature, which is not commonly seen, has been identified as the blue-ringed octopus. As per a report in The Mirror , the incident has been shared by a TikTok user named @Kaylinmarie21. In the clip, she has described how she was unaware of the capabilities of the tiny animal. The video shows the brown body and dark circles octopus, calmly placed on the woman’s palm. She had done this to click pictures with the animal as a part of one of the popular touristy things. Bernie Ecclestone arrested for trying to board flight with a gun in Brazil

Former F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone was arrested for attempting to board a flight with a gun in Brazil on Wednesday, police have confirmed. Ecclestone, 91, was intending to fly to Switzerland on the private jet. Police in Brazil found an undocumented LW Seecamp .32 gun in Ecclestone's luggage during an X-ray screening, they said in a statement. Ecclestone was arrested and taken to a facility at Viracopos airport in Campinas. He acknowledged owning the gun but said he was unaware it was in his luggage. Ecclestone paid bail and was free to travel to Switzerland. Ecclestone is married to Brazilian-born Fabiana Ecclestone, an FIA vice-president and member of the World Motor Sport Council. The duo are said to have attended a series of events while in Brazil, including a meeting with triple F1 world champion Nelson Piquet in Brasilia and a local stock car race near Sao Paulo.
