Next-generation Honda CR-V teased as freshly ‘rugged’ and ‘sophisticated’
The sixth-generation Honda CR-V will debut this summer. Ahead of its reveal, the automaker is teasing a fresh image of the model and billing it as "rugged" and "sophisticated". Small design cues are seen in the two mages supplied by the company as a preview of what can be expected when the new model is shown in full. The first image, which features the 2023 Honda CR-V's face, shows off a black grille featuring a hexagonal design that has a Honda emblem at its center. Slim headlights with a narrow daytime running light sit on the corners, their housing meshed with the black grille surround. The lower half of the front features a number of sensors, silver vent covers, and additional black surface area. Corgi eating treat in front of dogs behind baby gate branded “evil”
Whether it's their basketball skills or Queen Elizabeth's influence (she's owned 30 over her lifetime), Corgis are one of the internet's most beloved breeds. Which is why many of us are willing to overlook any jerk-like behavior, because who can be mad at those little faces ? And one Corgi has gone viral for taking his brutal bragging too far. U/EssentialLillie shared a snap of her Corgi pup munching a treat in front of the other dogs at the office where his mom works, which Reddit described as "evil." Posting to the r/AnimalsBeingJerks thread, EssentialLillie wrote: "He intentionally brought his chew to the gate so that he can eat it in front other dogs lmao." In the photo, the Corgi can be seen nibbling on a chew behind a baby gate, while two other dogs look on in desperation. In an update in the comments, EssentialLillie explained that although her employer allows staff to bring their dogs to work, her puppy is currently confined by a baby gate as they are not … [Read more...] about Corgi eating treat in front of dogs behind baby gate branded “evil”
Ahmad Zahid denies committing CBT, says YAB funds transferred to legal firm as officer found negligent
KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi denied committing criminal breach of trust involving RM17,953,185.21 of Yayasan Akalbudi (YAB) funds on Tuesday (May 24) and instead claimed that he transferred the money to a legal firm because his former executive secretary was prone to making mistakes in handling money. This amount of the funds involved the sixth of 12 charges of criminal breach of trust the former deputy prime minister is facing. Ahmad Zahid, 69, told the High Court that he appointed Lewis & Co to handle the funds of the foundation owned by him because Major Mazlina Mazlan @ Ramly had been careless in managing his personal money and YAB funds. "My Lord, as I said earlier in my statement, Mazlina had committed mistakes on many occasions, including writing a figure different from the amount spelled out in cheques and not sending monthly credit card statements and other documents when asked. "The transfer of the foundation’s funds to the legal firm was not for … [Read more...] about Ahmad Zahid denies committing CBT, says YAB funds transferred to legal firm as officer found negligent
Chicken export ban to be reviewed once domestic supply stabilises, says Kiandee
PUTRAJAYA: The move to halt chicken exports from June 1 will be reviewed once the country's supply becomes stable, says Agriculture and Food Industry Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ronald Kiandee (pic). He said a total of 3.6 million birds were exported to several countries every month including Singapore, Vietnam and Pakistan and the government's intervention as announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob on Monday (May 23), was to ensure domestic supply was adequate. Ronald explained that the country was currently facing a shortage of chicken due to several factors as informed by the industry, including disease and weight that did not meet standards to be marketed. "The poultry and egg industry is an industry that should meet the needs of the country because we have achieved 100% in self-sufficiency level (SSL) for poultry and eggs (previously)," he told the media at the ministry's Aidilfitri open house here on Tuesday (May 24). Adenovirus, Covid-19 potential cause of hepatitis outbreak: Indonesia
JAKARTA (The Jakarta Post/Asia News Network): Adenovirus infection and post-Covid-19 infection are among a number of working hypotheses the government is investigating regarding the mysterious cause of the outbreak that has infected children across the globe. Deputy Health Minister Dante Saksono Harbuwono said on Monday (May 23) that one of the likely causes of the acute hepatitis outbreak was adenovirus infection among children. Adenovirus is a common pathogen that spreads from person to person and typically causes respiratory illness. “But, as regards to why [adenovirus infection] has suddenly popped up among children, we are still investigating that. We know that around 70 per cent of the children [with acute hepatitis] were infected with the adenovirus,” Dante said during a meeting with the House of Representatives Commission IX, which oversees demographic affairs, health and manpower. Another possibility, Dante said, was that the hepatitis outbreak could have been a … [Read more...] about Adenovirus, Covid-19 potential cause of hepatitis outbreak: Indonesia

Cost of living: Pork specialist Cranswick demands government saves industry’s bacon
Since it landed on the old Unlisted Securities Market - the precursor to Aim - 37 years ago, Cranswick has been one of those businesses that hides its light under a bushel, its management traditionally attracting epithets such as "taciturn" from City followers. That reflects its history. The business was founded in 1975 by a group of 23 farmers in East Yorkshire who clubbed together to buy a pig feed mill, over time diversifying into grain merchanting and pig wholesaling. Its services further evolved when, in 1988, it expanded into pork butchery and then, in a bid to ride out the cyclicality of the pork market, into producing gourmet sausages from prime cuts of pork. Energy price cap tipped to hit £2,800 in October - Cost of living latest It now produces sausages both under banners such as its own Simply Sausages brand for most of the main supermarket multiples, including the Tesco Finest, the Co-op Irresistible and Sainsbury's Taste The Difference ranges, as well as … [Read more...] about Cost of living: Pork specialist Cranswick demands government saves industry’s bacon
