Full-back Keenan played a starring role on Saturday as the world’s top-ranked team subdued the Cardiff crowd by brushing aside the stunned hosts during a blistering start. Tries from Caelan Doris, James Ryan and James Lowe helped build a commanding 27-3 half-time lead before Josh Van Der Flier crossed late on to crush Welsh resistance and secure a bonus point. Ireland had previously not won a championship match at the Principality Stadium for a decade but stylishly snapped the losing streak as opposition optimism for the start of the second Gatland era was swiftly snuffed out. “We’re … [Read more...] about Hugo Keenan feels fearless approach set platform for Ireland’s winning start

Rubio says Biden waiting to tell American public about Chinese balloon a ‘dereliction of duty’
close Video TikTok is a danger to our national security: Marco Rubio Florida Sen. Marco Rubio discusses introducing legislation that would ban TikTok in the United States on 'Tucker Carlson Tonight.' Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., said Sunday that President Biden's failures in dealing with the Chinese spy balloon that was shot down off the East Coast started with his decision not to brief the American public early on about the balloon's existence. During an appearance on CNN's "State of the Union," Rubio, the vice chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, expressed incredulity at why the Biden administration waited until Thursday to announce it was tracking the balloon, five days after it entered U.S. airspace north of the Aleutian Islands, and it wasn't shot down until Saturday after being allowed to drift across the continental United States. Rubio said he agreed with comments by fellow Republicans that the administration's handling of the … [Read more...] about Rubio says Biden waiting to tell American public about Chinese balloon a ‘dereliction of duty’
Rubio: Biden’s Failure to Address the Nation on Chinese Balloon ‘Beginning of Dereliction of Duty’
Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) said on CNN’s “State of the Union” the President Joe Biden not addressing the nation about the Chinese balloon was “the beginning of dereliction of duty.” Host Jake Tapper said, “Your colleague and friend Republican Tim Scott of South Carolina accused President Biden of, quote, ‘dereliction of duty by allowing the Chinese spy balloon to fly across the U.S.’ That’s a pretty strong accusation. Do you agree with it?” Rubio said, “Well, I think the dereliction of duty begins with this. Why not Tuesday or Wednesday — you know people are going to see it. At some point, you know you are going to have to disclose this, but they didn’t want to. They didn’t want to have their hand forced on canceling the Blinken’s visit, so they didn’t want to have to talk about it. Why didn’t the president go on television and basically explain what we’re dealing with here and why he’s made the decisions he’s making, and what they intend to do? Once they went public with it, … [Read more...] about Rubio: Biden’s Failure to Address the Nation on Chinese Balloon ‘Beginning of Dereliction of Duty’
Netflix’s password-sharing crackdown is coming. It already looks grim.
Netflix, the streaming giant headquartered in the Bay Area , has been threatening a substantial password-sharing crackdown for months. This week, the company finally started to roll out some of its changes. As expected, they are gobsmackingly awful and indeed reviled by everyday users, privacy advocates and even famed musicians . Rightfully so: The new policies represent an invasive, unsustainable solution to a “problem” other streaming services don’t seem too worried about solving. Netflix’s latest changes, which are currently on trial in Chile, Costa Rica and Peru ( where it has tried to enforce other troubling password measures ), would require you to log into your account from your “household” — basically, the place you primarily use the service — at least once every 31 days. Attempting to sign in from a location other than your household could result in your account being blocked unless you pay more to add extra users. These updates were posted on the company’s U.S. … [Read more...] about Netflix’s password-sharing crackdown is coming. It already looks grim.
Big-Name Donors Are Moving On From Trump
Donald Trump, as expected, announced on Tuesday night that he’ll run for president again in 2024, despite being twice impeached, castigated for fomenting the Jan. 6 Capitol riots, investigated for potential fraud at his family’s business and blamed for Republicans’ weak showing in last week’s midterm elections. But while the former president is counting on faithful Republicans to once again flock to him, he appears to be losing supporters — including deep-pocketed conservative donors who are instead looking for alternatives. Just this morning, Stephen A. Schwarzman of Blackstone , a longtime ally of Trump’s, told Axios that he would back someone from a “new generation” of Republicans. And the attendee list for Tuesday night’s announcement was telling: Loyalists like Roger Stone and Mike Lindell, the C.E.O. of MyPillow, were there, but few members of Congress made the trip. Mr. Trump outlined what a second term would look like. In his meandering 63-minute speech, he focused … [Read more...] about Big-Name Donors Are Moving On From Trump
