No one did more to ensure that the moral and legal atrocity called Roe v. Wade was overturned than Democrats. Let’s count the ways, shall we… Harry Reid How do we even begin to thank the late Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) for ending the filibuster? Harry ended the filibuster in 2013 so Barry Obama could fill the courts with fascist radicals. This act ensured then-President Trump could get his trifecta of perfect Supreme Court justices over the finish line. If Reid had not killed the filibuster, at least two of those three (Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett) would have been non-starters, and Roe v. Wade would still be the law of the land. Thank you, Harry! Lena Dunham From where I sit, rape-hoaxer Lena Dunham led the pro-abortion crowd into a corner they could not escape from. Back in 2016, when Dunham said , “Now I can say that I still haven’t had an abortion, but I wish I had,” she shifted the left’s public attitude. For decades, the … [Read more...] about Nolte: 11 Ways Democrats Helped Overturn Roe v. Wade

At this school for the deaf, the alumni are a source of inspiration
Since the 1990s, Balavidyalaya - The School for the Young Deaf Children in Shastri Nagar, Adyar, has been diligently following a practice: Maintaining what is called a “Cumulative Book” for each student. Each of these Books would primarily track the pitter-patter footsteps of a tiny tot, as Balavidyalaya is an early intervention centre admitting hearing-impaired children below three years of age. Once the children complete the early intervention programme they are moved to the pre school programme. However, the footsteps are followed even after they get firmer. Meera Suresh, honorary vice-principal, Balavidyalaya, notes that the “Cumulative Book” has complete history of a child while they were being taught at Balavidyalaya, which includes the progresses they made, and also lists their achievements after they had left the school. For this reason, the school stays in touch with the parents. “We have to make a little extra effort sometimes to call a parent and ask for updates … [Read more...] about At this school for the deaf, the alumni are a source of inspiration
Heads of government schools seek more budgetary allocation for infrastructure
Heads of government schools, while acknowledging the increase in enrolment, look for betterment of infrastructure, in order to attract students who otherwise seek admission in private schools under the 25 percent RTE (Right to Education) quota. At present, only a small portion of the annual budgetary allotment for school education is utilised for infrastructure development. For instance, the government has made a budgetary allocation of a whoping Rs. 36895.89 crore for the year 2022-23 for school education. However, the expenditure on infrastructure development is substantially low, according to school heads. The Government has, this year, announced Perasiriyar Anbazhagan School Development Program. Dyslexia And The New Science Of Reading
The first thing Kathryn Nicholas will tell you about her 11-year-old son Jason is that he's a bright, curious kid who can build elaborate machines out of Legos and remember the code names and payloads of bombers. "He has a phenomenal desire to see how things work," she says proudly. But reading, for Jason, was a train wreck. In first grade he was assigned to special-education classes with three mildly retarded children. Two years later, despite extra help, he still couldn't decipher a sentence, and his mother was worried that he would soon become so discouraged that he would give up trying. Then she heard about Virginia Wise Berninger, an educational psychologist at the University of Washington who studies dyslexia, a disorder that makes learning to read extremely difficult. As part of her ongoing research, Berninger tested Jason and then invited him to a summer program for dyslexic boys. The kids didn't just play letter games. They did science experiments, studied biodiversity, met … [Read more...] about Dyslexia And The New Science Of Reading
Elon Musk Says New Tesla Car Factories Losing Billions of Dollars, Calls them “Money Furnace”
Tesla Inc’s new car factories in Texas and Berlin are “losing billions of dollars” as they struggle to increase production because of a shortage of batteries and China port issues, Chief Executive Elon Musk said in an interview published on Wednesday. “Both Berlin and Austin factories are gigantic money furnaces right now. Okay? It’s really like a giant roaring sound, which is the sound of money on fire,” Musk said in an interview with Tesla Owners of Silicon Valley, an official Tesla-recognized club, in Austin, Texas, on May 31. The club divided its interview with Musk into three parts, the last of which was released on Wednesday. Musk said Tesla’s Texas factory produces a “tiny” number of cars because of challenges in boosting production of its new “4680” batteries and as tools to make its conventional 2170 batteries are “stuck in port in China.” “This is all going to get fixed real fast, but it requires a lot of attention,” he said. He said its Berlin factory is in a … [Read more...] about Elon Musk Says New Tesla Car Factories Losing Billions of Dollars, Calls them “Money Furnace”

AP sources: Wall to be bought out, intends to join Clippers
John Wall and the Houston Rockets have agreed that his contract will be bought out, a move that will free him to sign with any team of his choosing, two people with knowledge of the situation said Monday night. Wall’s preference will be to sign with the Los Angeles Clippers, according to one of the people who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the five-time All-Star guard had not announced his intentions publicly. Wall will receive roughly $41 million from Houston, according to the other person who spoke with AP. Wall was scheduled to make $47.4 million this coming season, his last in what was a four-year contract. Yahoo first reported that Wall and the Rockets came to the buyout decision. ESPN first reported that Wall intends to join the Clippers, presumably for the taxpayer mid-level exception of about $6.4 million — basically the same amount he's giving back to the Rockets to become a free agent. No agreement can be struck between Wall and any … [Read more...] about AP sources: Wall to be bought out, intends to join Clippers
