Tech startup incubator and innovation ecosystem enabler T-Hub’s second phase, a 3.70 lakh sqft, swanky, multi-storey structure in the heart of Hyderabad’s IT hub that is set to be inaugurated on Tuesday by Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao, will accommodate thousands of startups, various eco-system partners and provide space free of cost to venture capital firms. An initiative of Telangana government entailing ₹400-crore investment, T-Hub 2.0 will be the world’s largest innovation campus and has been conceived amid a growing demand for space from startups. It seeks to consolidate gains that the first phase — a 70,000 sqft facility that opened in 2015 at IIIT-Hyderabad — made through sharpening of focus. Five times bigger, the second phase can accommodate as many as 4,000 startups, as against the 800 possible at the existing facility, IT and Industries Secretary Jayesh Ranjan said on Monday. With funding crucial for startups to take their products and services to the next level, it … [Read more...] about T-Hub 2.0 to host 4,000 startups, VC firms, eco-system partners

Nolte: 11 Ways Democrats Helped Overturn Roe v. Wade
No one did more to ensure that the moral and legal atrocity called Roe v. Wade was overturned than Democrats. Let’s count the ways, shall we… Harry Reid How do we even begin to thank the late Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) for ending the filibuster? Harry ended the filibuster in 2013 so Barry Obama could fill the courts with fascist radicals. This act ensured then-President Trump could get his trifecta of perfect Supreme Court justices over the finish line. If Reid had not killed the filibuster, at least two of those three (Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett) would have been non-starters, and Roe v. Wade would still be the law of the land. Thank you, Harry! Lena Dunham From where I sit, rape-hoaxer Lena Dunham led the pro-abortion crowd into a corner they could not escape from. Back in 2016, when Dunham said , “Now I can say that I still haven’t had an abortion, but I wish I had,” she shifted the left’s public attitude. For decades, the … [Read more...] about Nolte: 11 Ways Democrats Helped Overturn Roe v. Wade

‘Significant risks’ to UK food standards ahead after Brexit and Covid – report
The UK is facing “significant risks” to its food standards following two years of upheaval, according to a new report. The Food Standards Agency (FSA) and Food Standards Scotland (FSS) released the first of what will be an annual report highlighting changes and challenges facing the UK’s food system. The two agencies said it comes as a response to pressures caused by Britain’s departure from the EU, the coronavirus pandemic and the war in Ukraine. The inaugural report, published on Monday, concludes that food standards were maintained in 2021 despite the upheaval, however this a “cautious conclusion”. “While food safety standards have largely been maintained, both organisations recognise there are significant risks ahead,” it says. Recommended By-elections show voters have run out of patience with Boris Johnson The FSA and FSS identified two main concerns for UK food standards from the evidence reviewed. Russia strikes Kyiv as G7 summit opens
Russian missiles struck the Ukrainian capital Kyiv on Sunday, a day after a key eastern city fell to pro-Russian forces in a major set-back for Ukraine and as world leaders gathered in Europe to discuss further sanctions against Moscow. Up to four explosions rang out in central Kyiv in the early hours, in the first such attack on the city in weeks. Two more blasts were heard on the southern outskirts of the city later in the day, a Reuters reporter said. "The Russians hit Kyiv again. Missiles damaged an apartment building and a kindergarten," said Andriy Yermak, head of the president's administration. Ukraine's police chief, Ihor Klymenko, said on national television that five people had been wounded. As Europe's biggest land conflict since World War Two entered its fifth month the Western alliance supporting Kyiv was starting to show signs of strain as leaders fret about the growing economic cost, including surging food and energy prices. British Prime Minister Boris … [Read more...] about Russia strikes Kyiv as G7 summit opens
Pakistan’s participation in BRICS dialogue ‘blocked by one member’, says country’s Foreign Office
Pakistan on Monday alleged that "one member" of the BRICS grouping blocked its participation in a virtual meeting held on the sidelines of the bloc's recent summit hosted by China. The Foreign Office (FO) said Pakistan has noted that this year a high-level dialogue on global development was held as a side event at the 14th summit of BRICS nations — Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. A number of developing/emerging economies were invited to the side event. It said China being the host country engaged with Pakistan before the BRICS meetings, where decisions are taken after consultations with all BRICS members, including extending invitations to non-members. “Regrettably one member blocked Pakistan’s participation,” the FO said. Though the FO did not name any country, it was apparently referring to India, given the history of the relationship between the two nations. The bilateral relations deteriorated after India announced withdrawing the special … [Read more...] about Pakistan’s participation in BRICS dialogue ‘blocked by one member’, says country’s Foreign Office
U.K. presses on with Brexit rules rewrite; EU calls it illegal
Britain is ramping up a feud with the European Union by pressing on with a plan to rip up parts of the post-Brexit trade deal it signed with the bloc. Legislation that rewrites trade rules for Northern Ireland is scheduled to get its first major House of Commons debate on Monday, the first step on what could be a rocky journey through Parliament. The legislation, if approved by lawmakers, would remove checks on goods entering Northern Ireland from the rest of the U.K., thereby scrapping parts of a trade treaty that Prime Minister Boris Johnson signed before Britain left the EU in 2020. Mr. Johnson said he thought the plan could be approved “fairly rapidly” if Parliament cooperates, and that the measures could become law by the end of the year. “What we are trying to do is fix something that I think is very important to our country, which is the balance of the Belfast/Good Friday Agreement,” Johnson told reporters at the Group of Seven summit in Germany. The British government … [Read more...] about U.K. presses on with Brexit rules rewrite; EU calls it illegal
