New research shows that dominant or upright postures can help people feel and even behave more confidently. An analysis by the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg (MLU), the University of Bamberg, and The Ohio State University, has confirmed what other studies supported. The team evaluated information from 130 experiments with a total of 10,000 participants. The results disproved the claim that certain poses influence the hormone levels of a person. Body language and posture are popular tools studied in psychology. Psychologist Robert Körner said: "In therapy, they can help people feel secure and experience positive feelings." The research focuses on the extent to which very bold poses influence a person's feelings and self-worth. The victory pose with outstretched arms is a common example which is meant to increase self-confidence. Heard's tumultuous, ill-fated marriage to Depp has been the focus of an avalanche of headlines in recent years, thanks to a libel court battle that took place in London back in 2020 and their ongoing defamation trial in Fairfax, Virginia. Their court proceedings arose after Depp, 58, filed a $50 million lawsuit against Heard, 36, accusing her of defamation over an op-ed published by The Washington Post , in which she said she was a victim of domestic abuse. While Heard did not name Depp in the article, his lawyers argued it was clear she was referring to the star. Heard is countersuing for $100 million for nuisance. When a shooter attacked a supermarket in Buffalo, New York, over the weekend, its security guard tried to stop him. At least one of his shots hit the gunman, but it didn’t stop the deadly rampage because the gunman was wearing body armor. Ten Black people died in the racist massacre, including security guard Aaron Salter, a retired Buffalo police officer hailed as a hero. The Marvel Cinematic Universe plows on with its latest TV show for Disney+ , She-Hulk: Attorney at Law . She-Hulk , which has a release date this summer, has premiered its first trailer. In this promo, we meet Jennifer Walters (played by Tatiana Maslany), a hotshot lawyer turned six-foot-seven green superhero. The show's trailer also gave MCU fans a peek at some of the other cast, which includes a familiar villain as well as the return of a certain Avenger. The promo may not give us much idea of the show's plot, but it does give us a pretty good idea of the dating problems that come along with being a giant green woman in her 30s. In June last year, Madkam Hidme from Gumpad village in the dense forests of Sukma in South Chhattisgarh, was raped and killed, allegedly by security forces. She was 23. The governing authorities of Bastar celebrated Madkam’s death, calling it the killing of a hardcore Maoist. For the people of Gumpad, this compounded the tragedy. Who could they turn to for justice? They sent a message to Soni Sori, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader in Bastar. Soni quickly launched and led a sustained public campaign to secure justice for Madkam’s family.
