China’s government-run Xinhua News Agency announced on Tuesday that the Communist Party would lower gasoline and diesel prices nationwide, a move following growing purchases of cheap Russian petroleum products and of American gasoline leftist President Joe Biden released from the country’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR). “The prices will go down by 130 yuan (about 19 U.S. dollars) per tonne and 125 yuan per tonne, respectively, according to the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC),” Xinhua reported . The communist regime outlet noted that the price drop was the fifth of its kind this year and fourth since June. The government agency announcing the move, Xinhua detailed, acted in response to a drop in international oil prices – partially fueled by a collapse in demand in China, where the Communist Party regularly, and arbitrarily, imposes sweeping Chinese coronavirus lockdowns in major cities without warning. Macrovariable projections in uncertain times
The Fed has raised its benchmark interest rate again by a whopping 0.75%. The Reserve Bank of India has also been forced to raise interest rates further but also take other steps. These decisions in the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting are based on what the members of the MPC see as the likely course of the economy in the months ahead. Second, policy has to base itself on data. If it is deficient, it introduces additional uncertainty, making projections for the future difficult and causing policies to fail. This will compound the problem that results from the global uncertainty. … [Read more...] about Macrovariable projections in uncertain times

Gun Test: Steyr Pro THB McMillan With Kahles 525i Scope
By Corey Graff, Gun Digest In this Steyr Pro THB review, see why the new tactical Steyr rifles are giving competitors a run for their money. This test looks at a new model set in a McMillan stock. In a crowded field of factory sub-$2,000 long-range rifles that can pound tiny groups, Steyr rifles seem — at least in the U.S. — to be an afterthought. The new Steyr Pro THB (Tactical Heavy Barrel) variants could change perceptions in the long-range shooting world. The THB lineup deserves a place among other affordable precision rifles such as the Tikka T3x, Bergara B-14 HMR, Howa KRG Bravo, and Ruger Precision Rifle, among others. Now Steyr has debuted two new variants of the THB that should … [Read more...] about Gun Test: Steyr Pro THB McMillan With Kahles 525i Scope
Lawmakers Want Better Weapons for Ukraine. Biden Isn’t So Sure.
As the war in Ukraine continues with no end in sight , concerns are mounting in Washington—in both Democratic and Republican circles—that the Biden administration is holding back from supplying Ukraine with certain weapons that could give the invaded country a clear edge against Russia. Most lawmakers are grateful the United States has already supplied Ukraine with these HIMARS. Just this week, the Biden administration announced a new aid package that includes more munitions for the HIMARS. But many lawmakers also said they were concerned the Biden administration was holding back on longer-range munitions, … [Read more...] about Lawmakers Want Better Weapons for Ukraine.
