A religious school in Florida says it will only refer to students by their sex assigned at birth, while pupils who are gay, transgender or gender nonconforming "will be asked to leave the school immediately." NBC News obtained an email from the Grace Christian School in Valrico, about 20 miles east of Tampa, sent before the beginning of the school year by Administrator Barry McKeen. The subject line of the email reads: "Important School Policy Point of Emphasis. ... Please Read." The June 6 correspondence to parents cited scripture and said that students will be referred to by the "gender on their birth certificates" during the school year beginning this month. While the email refers to "biological gender," the National Institute of Health defines "gender" as a social construct, as opposed to "sex," which is the biological difference between females and males. A group of campaigners, survivors and families affected by abuse on social media have written to the Tory leadership candidates to urge the next prime minister to prioritise the Online Safety Bill. Danielle Armitage is one of those who have signed the open letter addressed to the candidates. She was only 14-years-old when she was groomed while playing an online interactive game for children. The man claimed to be 16 years old, however he was in fact in his late 40s at the time. Ms Armitage, who has waived her anonymity to warn others about what happened to her, told Sky News that initially "he arranged to meet me after school". "I got into his car and discovered that he was a lot older than what he said. I just froze from that point," she said. In a now-viral Twitter thread , a woman warned the internet about the various symptoms she had after having a stroke that she initially "attributed to hormones" and she says doctors ignored. Posting to the social media platform on Tuesday, Tabitha McIntosh wrote: "I had a stroke last Thursday while eating a sandwich. I didn't recognize it, the people I went to dinner with four hours later didn't recognize it [and] the doctor in A&E [accident and emergency] didn't recognize it when I went in six days afterward." The thread has amassed over 90,000 likes and hundreds of comments thanking McIntosh for sharing her "invaluable" information. The film of the week is Anurag Kashyap’s Dobaaraa, starring the amazing Taapsee Pannu in the lead. Kashyap has been a director who takes forward his own stories and thoughts, so the fact that he is making a remake really made me curious as to what could have been so appealing about the story. The film is the official remake of a Spanish film called Mirage, which (thankfully) I had not watched and therefore went for Dobaaraa with a clear mind. And boy, the film turned out to be really engaging! Taapsee Pannu plays the character of Antara, a nurse who moves to a new town with her husband and six-year-old daughter.
