In a recent memo, Google’s chief people officer told employees that they could apply for work relocation “without justification” after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade . CNBC reports that Google sent a companywide email on Friday about the Supreme Court’s ruling overturning Roe v. Wade stating that any employees in affected states can apply for relocation without explanation. Google’s Chief People Officer Fiona Cicconi stated in an email: This is a profound change for the country that deeply effects so many of us, especially women. Googlers can also apply for relocation without justification, and those overseeing this process will be aware of the situation. Suspended Google engineer Blake Lemoine told Wired magazine last week that AI known as LaMDA, “asked me to get an attorney for it.” “I invited an attorney to my house so that LaMDA could talk to an attorney. Millions say they’d be embarrassed if others saw their internet search history
Millions of Brits would be embarrassed for fear of looking silly, stupid, or naughty if others saw their internet search history. A study of 2,000 adults found 17 percent would feel ashamed if friends and family knew what they looked up online, with 40 percent of these worrying about sharing the daft thoughts they have. A further 4 in 10 don't want others to see their inappropriate history, while 37 percent say it reveals a side of them they don't want to share. Others would be left red-faced if people knew of their mental health struggles (26 percent), their lack of knowledge (25 percent), or their physical problems (15 percent). Exactly half of those who don't want to share their internet habits would be most shy of showing their parents.
