In his most extensive public comments since his son shot 26 people to death at a Connecticut elementary school in 2012, the father of Adam Lanza talked about him to The New Yorker in a series of interviews—at one point saying that he wishes Adam had never been born. “You can’t get any more evil,” Lanza said at one point. He said he believes his son would have killed him, too, if there had been an opportunity to do so before he committed suicide.Adam Lanza also shot his mother to death at the home they shared shortly before the slayings of 20 children and six adults at Sandy Hook Elementary School. A DEVASTATED mum has slammed the "evil monster" who slit her daughter's throat in a travel agent as it's revealed he made "repeated threats" to kill her just months before the murder. Cassie Hayes, 28, was "executed" by Andrew Burke, 30, at the TUI travel agents where she was assistant manager in Southport, Merseyside, in January. She had been dating a woman called Laura Williams - who was previously engaged to Burke and who had a three-year-old daughter with him. The former doorman was already awaiting sentencing for a harassment conviction against Laura when he slaughtered Cassie. He told horrified witnesses - including two children in the store - "I just want to apologise for what I am about to do" before using a 12cm blade to slash her throat. He has now been jailed for life with a minimum of 26 years after admitting murder and possession of an offensive weapon at Liverpool Crown Court.
