A Bihar school has been teaching Hindi and Urdu on the same blackboard. The unique arrangement has been made in a classroom at a school in Katihar, reports ANI. Kumari Priyanka, an assistant teacher at Adarsh Middle School, told the news agency that the Urdu primary school had been shifted to the Adarsh school back in 2017. Both Hindi and Urdu are hence taught in the same classroom. A video shared by ANI shows lessons in both languages taking place simultaneously by two teachers. Another teachers sits at a table to maintain discipline among the group of children. Five finalists seek vacant Denver school board seat
Five people have applied to fill a seat on the Denver school board, which becomes vacant when director Brad Laurvick leaves next month. Laurvick, a pastor, resigned after he was appointed to First United Methodist Church in Fort Collins. His last day serving on the school board will be June 9, according to Denver Public School’s website. The remaining school board members will publicly interview the five finalists for his seat during a special meeting on May 26. Laurvick’s replacement will serve until the 2023 elections. The district administration is waiting for the funds to be released by the School Education department for carrying out the renovation. Pallavaram MLA E. Karunanidhi visited the school recently to take stock of the condition. Denver school board director Brad Laurvick, a pastor, will resign his seat this summer, a year before his term ends, after being appointed to First United Methodist Church in Fort Collins, announced Denver Public Schools on Monday. Laurvick, who has served as pastor of Denver’s Highlands United Methodist Church, was elected to the school in 2019. Meet the incredible 23-year-old woman who runs three schools, an orphanage and fosters over 30 children. Tusaiwe Munkhondya is the founder of non-profit organizations "Empowering Young Mothers" and "You Are Not Alone" (YANA), offering help and support to vulnerable people across Malawi. Munkhondya got pregnant when she was 16 and is a single parent to son Jeromy, now 6. After a couple of very hard years, she was kicked out of her home at age 18, which inspired her to start "Empowering Young Mothers". Her organization allowed her to get together with other young mothers and inspire them to aim for success, as well as start a preschool to help them. Munkhondya noticed that children were struggling to bring in food or afford the $1 school fee, so she took in one of the children herself. Two attacked in public view in two days as gang wars escalate in city
Two persons were attacked in public by two gangs in the last two days in the city. While one died, the other, a juvenile who wrote his school exam, is battling for life in a hospital. S. Arumugam, financier and real estate broker of Choolaimedu, was murdered by a six-member gang in Aminjikarai on Wednesday. He was returning home on a two-wheeler for lunch around 1.30 p.m. when the gang waylaid him near Pulla Avenue. The realtor sustained serious head injuries and was lying in a pool of blood on the road for sometime as seen in a clip which shows a person fleeing the spot on a two-wheeler. Arumugam was rushed to Government Kilpauk Medical College Hospital where he died. Senior police officials visited the spot. The Aminjikarai Police have registered a case.
