Rochelle Humes runs off set after almost vomiting live on This Morning
Rochelle Humes had quite an eventful Friday as she hosted This Morning ahead of the weekend. The mother-of-three joined Craig Doyle in the ITV studio to front another instalment of the ITV daytime show, but it got off to a dodgy start. As the duo opened the programme, they told viewers that they were about to taste test five different flavours of ice cream. They had to guess which flavour each one was and were pleasantly surprised when the first one turned out to be Heinz baked beans. "What? What? It's nice! I don't understand what just happened there!" Rochelle shouted out. Rochelle Humes almost threw up eating ice cream on Friday's This Morning ( Image: ITV) As the pair moved on to the second sample, she commented: "This one looks a little bit more concerning to me, I don't know why." As she refused to smell it, Rochelle went straight in with a small spoonful but almost threw up as she did. "Ugh! Oh no that is really not... have you tasted it yet? I really … [Read more...] about Rochelle Humes runs off set after almost vomiting live on This Morning
Ukraine could run out of critical HIMARS missiles in months: Expert
Retired United States Marine Corps Colonel Mark Cancian predicts that the supply of High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS) missiles provided by the U.S. to Ukraine to combat Russian aggression will be depleted within the next three or four months. "[Three to four months is] a pretty wild guess, but I don't think that's crazy," Cancian, a senior adviser with the Center for Strategic and International Studies, told Newsweek . "Some people have estimated a month or so. I don't think they're firing them that fast." "We will get to that point where the U.S. will have to reduce the number of missiles provided because the stocks will be running low. I think there will be a series of discussions inside the Pentagon ," Cancian added. "The military will probably want to hold on to more; the civilian officials will probably want to release more, and they'll come to some sort of agreement on what is an acceptable level of risk." Cancian, who spent over seven years working on … [Read more...] about Ukraine could run out of critical HIMARS missiles in months: Expert
Poorly student thought uni life was running her down until she found lump
A poorly student thought uni life was running her down - until she found a lump on her neck. Immy Hall, 20, from York, was in her first year at the University of Salford when she started to feel unwell but put it down to student life and communal living. The interior design student's symptoms included night sweats and a worsening of her eczema condition, Yorkshire Live reported. She said: “At Easter time I was laid in my bed at university feeling ill. I rolled over and realised I had this big lump on my neck.” The student was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in May and is currently undergoing chemotherapy for stage four cancer. Immy said she’s since learned that heavy sweating, particularly at night and itching are potential signs of Hodgkin lymphoma, which is a cancer of the lymphatic system. The 20-year-old has come forward with her story as her friends are tackling Yorkshire’s Three Peaks in one day to raise money for her. Immy's pals Olly Henley, Dom Sterrit, … [Read more...] about Poorly student thought uni life was running her down until she found lump

Maher: Biden ‘Absolutely’ Shouldn’t Run in 2024
On Friday’s broadcast of HBO’s “Real Time,” host Bill Maher argued that even with passing the Inflation Reduction Act, the inflation and jobs numbers, and the death of former al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri, President Joe Biden shouldn’t run for reelection in 2024 and that his best move would be to use his momentum to find someone younger inside the party that he can back and then ride off into the sunset. Fox Nation host Piers Morgan asked, “But don’t you think the smart play actually is — I think Maureen Dowd wrote this last week — the smart play for Biden, I don’t think he should run again in 2024 –” Maher responded, “I agree.” Morgan continued, “–for the benefit of the Democrats. I think what he should do is ride this wave he’s on now and say, now, actually, I’m not going to run again, find a young, dynamic person in the Democratic Party that he could get behind, and then they’ve got a good chance, I think.” Maher responded, “Absolutely.” And added, “Be the sheriff who … [Read more...] about Maher: Biden ‘Absolutely’ Shouldn’t Run in 2024

Respected snake researcher dies from rattlesnake bite
FALLS CHURCH, Va. (AP) — A respected snake researcher who had been making significant discoveries about the species since childhood has died after being bitten by a timber rattler. William H. “Marty” Martin died Aug. 3 after being bitten the day before by a captive snake on the property at his home in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, according to his wife, Renee Martin. Martin, who was 80 years old, continued to make arduous mountain hikes to document and count snake populations in remote sites, said Joe Villari, who manages the Bull Run Mountains Preserve in northern Virginia and would accompany Martin on his outings there. “He was in his 80s, and he was hard to keep up with,” said Villari, who made it a point to join Martin on his semiannual treks to remote mountain dens where the snakes would live. John Sealy, a rattlesnake researcher from Stokesdale, North Carolina, who knew Martin for more than 30 years, said Martin was perhaps the foremost authority on timber rattlers, a … [Read more...] about Respected snake researcher dies from rattlesnake bite
Cohabiting Households on the Rise
August 13, 2022 08:43 Nearly half a million Korean households now consist of friends and lovers rather than traditional families as the country's social fabric changes. According to the 2021 census, 1.02 million people were members of 472,660 non-family households, which accounted for around two percent of all households. Households composed of immediate family members still accounted for 64.4 percent of the total 22 million households last year, but that was down 0.4 percent from the year before. But non-family households increased 11.6 percent, while one-person households grew 7.9 percent. It seems that the rising number of singles contributed to the rapid growth of non-family households as more and more people began to cohabit with friends or unmarried partners to save money, according to Prof. Chung Ick-joong at Ewha Womans University. One 25-year-old university student who lives in Seoul's Seongbuk District has been sharing a small flat with a friend since March … [Read more...] about Cohabiting Households on the Rise
