You all know that I’m not a big fan of cable news, and not for ideological reasons. I just hate a format that invents “stories” we must follow (Will the poop cruise make it to shore?) and gins up addictive national outrage over nonsense (A trailer park in Nowhere, Idaho, refuses to let boy scout fly the flag!). It’s just crap-crap-crap-opinion-opinion-opinion-takes-takes-takes all day long, the exact opposite of informative, and life is just too short. Yes, there are rare exceptions, like Fox’s Special Report, but on the whole I’d rather visit the dentist.Nevertheless, as much as I despise the format, I have always been grateful that Fox News is out there. The establishment media — all the newspapers, all the websites, all the broadcast outlets, etc. — speak with one giant, booming, corrupt, left-wing voice and Fox had been a vital addition to the alternative voices in New Media and talk radio, an important megaphone for, at the very … [Read more...] about Nolte: Dummies at Fox Back CNN. President Donald Trump privately ranks those who appear on air at Fox News based on their loyalty to him on a scale of 1 to 10, according to a report in The New Yorker that takes a look at what many consider the cozy and symbiotic relationship that exists between him and the cable news outlet. Trump has told confidants he has given Fox News chief political anchor Bret Baier a 6 for his loyalty while Sean Hannity gets a perfect 10 and "Fox & Friends" co-host Steve Doocy an off-the-scale high score of 12. "Trump gets up and watches 'Fox & Friends' and thinks these are his friends," Charlie Black, a longtime Republican lobbyist in Washington whose former firm advised Trump in the 1980s and 1990s, told The New Yorker. "He thinks anything on Fox is friendly. But the problem is he gets unvetted ideas." Baeir is among the most reputable news anchors of Fox News, a network that still insists on drawing a fine line between news and opinion programming, … [Read more...] about Trump Reportedly Ranks Fox News Personalities for Loyalty
close Video Hannity: Hating Trump is more important to Dems than safety of Americans Sean Hannity, the Fox News host, on Monday blasted the “garbage compromise” after congressional negotiators said they reached an “agreement in principle” on border security funding that includes more than $1.3 billion for physical barriers along the U.S.-Mexico border. During his Monday night broadcast, Hannity broke into President Trump’s speech in El Paso, Texas, to criticize the reported deal to avoid a second government shutdown. OCASIO-CORTEZ CALL OUT TRUMP'S INSULT “By the way, on this new so-called compromise,” Hannity said. “I’m getting details. $1.3 billion? That’s not even a wall, a barrier… We will get back into this tomorrow. Any Republican that supports this garbage compromise, you will have to explain—look at this crowd, look at the country.” The $1.3 billion would be used for a physical … [Read more...] about Sean Hannity slams ‘garbage compromise’ on preliminary agreement on border security
U.S. A Republican congressman told Fox News host Sean Hannity that special counsel Robert Mueller’s Tuesday memo recommending a lenient sentence for former national security adviser Michael Flynn for substantially assisting in his investigation was actually “good news” for President Donald Trump. "I think it’s good news for President Trump tonight that this is what it’s come down to," said North Carolina Representative Mark Meadows, who serves on the House Freedom Caucus. “Even though they said he substantially cooperated, I think he substantially cooperated to say that there was no collusion and we can look at it with that in mind." In his memo, Mueller said Flynn provided “substantial assistance” in his probe into Russian interference and possible collusion with the Trump campaign during the 2016 presidential election, and recommended that Flynn face no prison time. Hannity, a close friend and informal adviser to … [Read more...] about Republican Tells Fox News That Michael Flynn Memo Is ‘Good News for President Trump’
