THE last bank holiday before Christmas is fast approaching - but will we see another round of the glorious heatwave we've been experiencing this summer? Here's the latest forecast. The blustery conditions come after a hot summer that brought in the driest June on record. Meteorologist Emma Smith said Tuesday's cloudy conditions were expected to continue into Wednesday. She said: "It will be largely cloudy across the country, with outbreaks of patchy rain where the clouds are thickest. "Wednesday will be the warmest day of the week with temperatures reaching 28 or 29C." But by Thursday, a cold front will push across Devon and Cornwall north - bringing with it blustery showers. Ms Smith said: "Showers will become more widespread across Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with the main risk of hail and thunder in the north of the country. "It's the first real autumnal change we have seen, it's a real change in the type of … [Read more...] about UK weather forecast sees temperatures plummet 10C this week with threat of rain, thunder and HAIL for Bank Holiday
