A suspect in the violent theft of Lady Gaga’s dogs was freed from prison in Los Angeles after appearing in court Wednesday, according to NBC Los Angeles (NBCLA). James Howard Jackson, 18, is one of three men accused of plotting to steal Lady Gaga’s dogs in February 2021, reported NBCLA. Jackson, Jaylin Keyshawn White, 19, and Lafayette Shon Whaley, 27, were charged with attempted murder, second-degree robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery after dog walker Ryan Fischer, 39, was shot as he walked the pop superstar’s two French bulldogs, the outlet continued. Authorities In California Seize $1.5 Million Worth Of Fentanyl-Laced Pills, Fentanyl Powder In Two Weeks
Authorities in Riverside, California, confiscated over $1.5 million worth of pills containing fentanyl and the drug in its powder form over a two-week period, the Riverside County District Attorney’s office announced Monday. The Riverside County Gang Impact Team (GIT) made the seizures as part of three separate investigations, according to the district attorney’s office. The seizures contained around 40,000 M-30 pills, which are made to look like oxycodone, laced with fentanyl and five kilograms of fentanyl powder. CBP Officers Seize Enough Fentanyl To Kill Over 12 Million People
Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers at the California-Mexico border recently made a single seizure of fentanyl with the potential to kill over 12 million people. CBP officers stationed at the Calexico West Port of Entry searched a vehicle on June 6 coming in from Mexico, finding 43 packages of blue pills containing fentanyl hidden in the truck’s gas tank, according to a Tuesday press release. The Napa County District Attorney has charged Democrat U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Paul Pelosi, with two misdemeanors for driving under the influence of alcohol, a crime for which he was previously arrested. On May 28, police arrested Paul Pelosi after his 2021 Porsche collided with a 2014 Jeep on a Highway 29 intersection. His blood alcohol level stood at .082 percent; the California legal limit is .08 percent. The two charges filed by the Napa district attorney include “driving under the influence of alcohol causing injury and driving with a .08% blood alcohol level or higher and causing injury,” according to the Napa Valley Register . President Biden nominated E. Martin Estrada on Monday to serve as the next U.S. attorney for the Central District of California. A mother who says her autistic child was "emotionally traumatized" after being dragged through his school by a teacher has released footage of the incident. On Facebook Sunday, Angel Nelson detailed what happened to her 9-year-old son while he was in Wurtland Elementary school, Greenup County, on October 24 last year. Amber Michelle Parker, 37, was arrested after a multi-agency human trafficking investigation in central Texas.
