Struggling families are being "cut off from the internet" as the soaring cost of broadband outstrips wage rises, Labour has warned. Latest figures show that between 2015 and last year, broadband prices rose by more than 30% - while salaries went up by around 17%. One in 20 households are struggling to pay for the service, with Labour blaming the government for allowing Openreach - the main broadband infrastructure provider - to charge companies more for network rental. This meant providers like BT, Talk Talk, Vodafone and John Lewis increased charges by over 9% in just a year. Shadow culture secretary Lucy Powell said: “Families face being cut off from the internet as a result of the Conservative cost of living crisis. Anne Heche remains on life support despite being 'legally dead' to see if she is a potential match for organ donation, her representatives have confirmed. The actress is classified as "legally dead according to California law" after suffering a "severe anoxic brain injury" in a car crash last Friday. The 53-year-old was taken to hospital following the crash but has since been found to be "brain dead". The actress' son Homer shared a statement following the news Anne had been declared 'legally dead' under Californian law on Friday August 12 . She remains on life support, with her heart still beating, in order to see if there are any potential matches for organ donation. Two days after a boat capsized in the Yamuna in Uttar Pradesh's Fatehpur district, eight more bodies were fished out of the river on Saturday, police said. With this, 11 deaths have been confirmed in the incident that occurred in Banda district's Samgara village on Thursday. Nine people are still missing. Station House Officer, Kishanpur, Sanjay Tiwari told PTI, "Eight bodies have been recovered from the Yamuna river. The NDRF has taken one of them to Marka police station." The bodies were found 15-20 km from the spot where the boat capsized, he said. The area where the bodies were found comes under the jurisdiction of the Kishanpur police station. Fatehpur District Magistrate (DM) Shruti said the bodies were identified as those of Ramkaran (40), Geeta (38), Jhullu (42), Maya Devi (35), Preeti (22), Seema (37), and Babu (45). Four people were killed and nine others injured in a flash flood in southwest China on Saturday, local authorities said.
