A MUM was tormented by a spooky version of nursery rhyme “It’s Raining, It’s Pouring” playing in the dead of night. Alice Connington, 34, said she was left haunted by the tune and unable to sleep. She added: “It was terrifying. I heard it at all times of night, sometimes over and over.” After enduring the sinister sound for months, the mum of two alerted council inspectors. They tracked the noise to an industrial unit 200 yards from her home in Ipswich. The rhyme — playing through a loud speaker — was intended to deter trespassers.
