New York City has suspended the license of an Uber driver who booted two women after they kissed in his car. A Taxi and Limousine Commission spokesman calls the driver's behavior "ridiculous." Allan Fromberg says it's 2018 and "this isn't the way we live any more." It comes after Alex Iovine and Emma Pichl -- both in their 20s -- said they were kicked out of the car after exchaning a "peck" on the lips during a trip from Gowanus, Brooklyn, to Manhattan's East Village. “We peck kissed, like I reached across and pecked kissed her,” said Iovine. “That’s how fast it was that’s why I say ‘pecked.’” Iovine recorded what became a tense standoff with their driver as he tells them kissing is "illegal." The two women retort, “Kissing is not illegal.” The driver then replies, “You can’t do this in the car. You aren’t allowed to do this.” He goes on to say, “It’s disrespectful.” NYC Suspends … [Read more...] about NYC Suspends Uber Driver’s License for Booting Kissing Women

Two Dancers Fired by NYC Ballet Over Nude Photo Accusations

· September 15, 2018 ·

Two dancers were fired from the New York City Ballet on Saturday amid accusations that they were part of a ring of male dancers who inappropriately shared nude photos and videos of women. The ballet company said principal dancers Amar Ramasar and Zachary Catarazo, as well as a third dancer, Chase Finlay, who resigned last month, "engaged in inappropriate communications, that while personal, off-hours and off-site, had violated the norms of conduct that NYCB expects from its employees." The firings came after a woman who had dated Finley, Alexandra Waterbury, said in a lawsuit this month that Finlay had sent explicit videos and photos of her taken without her knowledge to other men including dancers with the company. Waterbury charged in her lawsuit against City Ballet and Finlay that the company tolerated a "fraternity-like atmosphere" where male dancers understood that "they could degrade, demean, mistreat and abuse, assault and batter women without consequence."
