New York filed suit against ten national gun distributors Wednesday, alleging they illegally sold so-called “ghost gun” frames and receivers to the public. The lawsuit , filed by New York Attorney General Letitia James , alleges that the defendants sold the “unfinished” frames and receivers without a background check or traceable record of sale. The defendants allegedly violated federal law of selling firearms without a serial number in order for law enforcement to trace them during a crime scene. The 10 distributors include Blackhawk Manufacturing Group, Salvos Technologies, Brownells Inc and Indie Guns LLC, according to the suit. “In Defendants’ own words, the products they sell are ‘ridiculously easy’ to convert into fully operable and completely untraceable firearms. New Delhi: After NIA suffered an embarrassment with quashing of its Red Corner Notice request by the Interpol, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday was pulled up by a judicial tribunal over its investigation against controversial Islamic preacher Zakir Naik. Justice Manmohan Singh, who heads the Appellate Tribunal for PMLA (Prevention of Money Laundering Act) at New Delhi, restrained the agency from taking over Naik's properties attached by the agency, and drew a parallel between Naik and self-styled spiritual leader Asaram Bapu. Nasa ’s Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite, or Tess , recently spotted two new rocky, Earth-like planets around nearby stars, among the closest ever discovered near our Solar System . The two exoplanets orbit a red dwarf star just 33 light years away from Earth known as HD 260655. The planets derive their name from their star: HD 260655 b and HD 260655 c. The planets are “super Earths,” rocky planets like our own, but somewhat larger, with HD 260655 b coming in at 1.2 times the size of Earth and HD 260655 c at 1.5 times the size of our planet. The planets were discovered in Tess data by an international team of astronomers led by Rafael Luque of the Institute of Astrophysics of Andalusia, Spain, and the University of Chicago, and the discovery was first presented earlier in June at the 240th meeting of the American Astronomical Society in Pasadena California. A new Republican poll has shown Georgia Governor Brian Kemp with a substantial lead over Democratic challenger Stacey Abrams in the race for governor of the traditionally red state. The poll was conducted for Republican Senate candidate Herschel Walker's campaign and found that Kemp enjoyed 51 percent support, while Abrams had the backing of 44 percent of respondents. That gives Kemp a major 7-point lead. Those figures offer a stark contrast to a Quinnipiac University poll published on Wednesday that found the governor's race to be a dead heat. That poll showed both Abrams and Kemp with 48 percent support. The Walker campaign's poll was conducted by Moore Information from June 11 to 16 among 800 likely general election voters and had a margin of error of +/- 3 percent.
