An epidemic of psychoactive substance use in jails has become “the new normal”, according to the Prisons and Probation Ombudsman. Signs are also emerging that the impact of the drugs is spreading to the immigration detention estate and bail hostels. The Prisons and Probation Ombudsman found inmates are dying preventable deaths, particularly as a result of alarming levels of drug misuse behind bars. 0 Have your say Sunderland residents will soon be charged £75 for failing to put their bins out correctly under a new policy backed by council bosses. In the future, Coca-Cola's drinks may make you feel better but they won't get you high. The Coca-Cola Company is interested in infusing cannabidiol, a non-psychoactive component in cannabis commonly known as CBD, into beverages. The company released a statement on Monday following reports indicating that the beverage behemoth was looking into possibly infusing drinks with CBD. The news generated speculation that Coke from the future would get you high. What gets people "high" is tetrahydrocannabinol, a potent psychoactive chemical compound found in marijuana commonly known as THC.
