America is ready to “promote a culture of life,” and the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade is a victory owed to former President Donald Trump, Rep. Mary Miller (R-IL), who will appear at a rally alongside Trump Saturday evening, told Breitbart News Saturday host Matthew Boyle. “It was wonderful to wake up today, the first morning in a post- Roe America,” Miller said, expressing gladness that the pain and damage caused by Roe are now over. “We are glad to put an end to that and return it to where it needs to go … the states,” she said, adding that the country owes this pr0-life victory to Trump. Poll: Donald Trump Leads Joe Biden in Potential 2024 Matchup
Former President Donald Trump leads President Joe Biden in a potential 2024 matchup, according to a McLaughlin & Associates poll released Friday. The poll asked, “If the general election for President were held today, would you be more likely to vote for Donald Trump, the Republican candidate or Joe Biden, the Democratic candidate?” Trump polled at 49 percent, while Biden slipped into the mid-40s at 44 percent, five points behind Trump. Seven percent were undecided. Trump also bested potential 2024 Republican primary candidates. The poll asked, “Thinking ahead to the 2024 Republican primary election for President, if that election were held today among the following candidates, for whom would you vote?” Trump received 59 percent of the vote, while Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) only received 15 percent, a 44 percent differential. Former Vice President Mike Pence came in third place with seven percent. Do signs point to an Israel-Saudi normalisation deal?
AFP Washington, United States ● Sun, June 26, 2022 2022-06-26 12:45 0 76b99ae81be4b2e052851b8c9617ddba 2 Middle East and Africa US,Israel,Saudi-Arabia,Joe-Biden,Muhammad-bin-Salman,diplomacy,Jared-Kushner Free The United States has hinted that more Arab nations could take steps to improve ties with Israel, ahead of President Joe Biden's trip to the Middle East. All eyes are on Saudi Arabia, which Biden will visit in mid-July after he once vowed to treat the kingdom as a "pariah" state over the 2018 murder and dismemberment of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi. However, despite the recent signs of a US-Saudi rapprochement, analysts say it is improbable Riyadh will agree to diplomatic ties with Israel -- not during Biden's visit or while King Salman, 86, still reigns. The king's official policy is that there should be no peace with Israel until it withdraws from occupied territories and accepts Palestinian statehood. Biden's visit will likely focus … [Read more...] about Do signs point to an Israel-Saudi normalisation deal?
Nolte: Only the MAGA Movement Could’ve Ended the Atrocity of Roe v. Wade
If you consider yourself a pro-life Republican and weren’t on the Trump Train in 2016, sit your pansy-ass down. Had you and your precious “principles” won the day, Hillary Clinton would have appointed those three Supreme Court justices instead of Donald Trump, and the moral atrocity known as Roe v. Wade would still be a “constitutional right.” We see you out there pretending that’s not the case, and you look ridiculous. For decades, the Republican establishment ran around promising to overturn Roe, and for decades, they failed. And instead of Trump all-stars like Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett and Neil Gorsuch, we got Sandra Day O’Connor, Anthony Kennedy, John Roberts, and David Souter. Roe is dead for only one reason: the MAGA Movement. Without the MAGA Movement, there is no President Trump. Without a President Trump, there is no end to Roe . Elections matter, Never Trump. Elections matter, and despite constant warnings from the MAGA Movement that your … [Read more...] about Nolte: Only the MAGA Movement Could’ve Ended the Atrocity of Roe v. Wade

The story so far: The U.S. Supreme Court on Friday ended the constitutional right to abortion , overturning the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade decision that had enshrined a woman’s right to her body. In its ruling, the Conservative-dominated SCOTUS (Supreme Court of the United States) said , “The Constitution does not confer a right to abortion;… and the authority to regulate abortion is returned to the people and their elected representatives.” The 6-3 verdict echoed a draft opinion leaked in early May claiming that the SCOTUS would vote to strike down the right to abortion. Also overturned on Friday, was Planned Parenthood vs Casey , a 1992 case that upheld Roe . While anti-abortionists led by former President Donald Trump cheered the judgment , pro-choice advocates and women’s rights bodies decried the move, calling it a “horrifying decision with devastating consequences.” According to the Guttmacher Institute, an abortion rights advocacy research group, 26 states (of the … [Read more...] about Explained | How will the
Nolte: Abortion, Gun Rulings Are Civil Rights Victories That Will Save Lives
Overturning Roe v. Wade and declaring New York’s fascist conceal carry law unconstitutional are not only progress for the cause of human and civil rights–they will also save countless innocent lives. It need not be pointed out how this week’s 5-4 Supreme Court decision concerning Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization finally ended the moral and legal atrocity of Roe v. Wade or how it will save lives. The slaughter of innocent, unborn babies will end in any number of states, come under heavy restrictions in others, and likely save millions of lives. Unfortunately, this mass butchering will likely continue in the demonic blue states. Out of defiance, it might even increase. Overall, though, the infanticide numbers will almost certainly decrease. And those numbers are almost too horrific to comprehend. Since Roe became the law of the land in 1973, 63 million innocent babies have been slaughtered. Sixty-three million lives were snuffed out, almost all for … [Read more...] about Nolte: Abortion, Gun Rulings Are Civil Rights Victories That Will Save Lives
Senate confirmed justices to end Roe. How will voters react?
This is a carousel. Use Next and Previous buttons to navigate 8 WASHINGTON (AP) — The end of Roe v. Wade started in the Senate. It was the Senate Republican partnership with President Donald Trump to confirm conservative judges, and transform the federal judiciary, that paved the way for the Supreme Court's landmark ruling to overturn the constitutional right to abortion. Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell set the strategy in motion, engineering the Supreme Court's makeover by blocking President Barack Obama's nomination of Merrick Garland and changing the Senate's rules to easily confirm Trump's picks. It was a long game that sought to lock in a conservative court majority for decades to come. Trump and McConnell couldn't have accomplished it alone, needing the backing of almost all Republican senators to reshape the bench. Now, Republicans are heading into a November midterm election that is poised to … [Read more...] about Senate confirmed justices to end Roe. How will voters react?

Protests and celebrations as Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade: Live updates
Protests continued in cities across the country Saturday after the Supreme Court's decision to overturn the landmark Roe v. Wade ruling that had guaranteed the right to abortion in the United States. As states began to enact abortion bans and clinics stopped offering the procedure, large crowds gathered in cities such as New York, Los Angeles and Atlanta, some jubilant, others dismayed at the decision that stripped away women’s constitutional right to abortion. Both sides predicted the fight over abortion would continue. Key highlights: President Joe Biden called it a “sad day” for the U.S. and said it would be up to voters in November to select candidates who would protect a host of rights — not just abortion but also marriage equality and the right to contraception. Centrist Sens. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., and Susan Collins, R-Maine, suggested they were misled by Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch, two key votes in the decision to overturn Roe. Florida emerges as key battleground in state-by-state abortion fight
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The U.S. Supreme Court's abortion decision is expected to make Florida an epicenter of the state-by-state fight over the issue in the coming months, raising the stakes for abortion rights advocates in the November election and complicating effortsw by Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis to manage both his statewide and national political fortunes. Within hours of the court's decision, access to abortion emerged as a major fault line in America's divisive cultural battles. Thirteen conservative states with "trigger bans" will outlaw abortion within 30 days - and the procedure could soon be prohibited in several others. Lawmakers in heavily Democratic northern and western states are promising to become safe havens for women who want an abortion but are banned from receiving one at home. But in Florida, where residents in a half-dozen relatively liberal urban counties are continually locked in political duels with the conservatives who dominate much of the rest of … [Read more...] about Florida emerges as key battleground in state-by-state abortion fight
