This company is credited with launching world’s smallest ECG called SanketLife. Bharat Watch has been developed in partnership with Goodify. Besides the make in India tag, Bharat Watch also claims to have pro-grade ECG technology which helps people detect their heart activities on the move. The company suggests that the market for affordable wearables is growing across the globe and it hopes to expand the reach of the products to the African market among others. The company has not shared the full details about the smartwatch, but we expect to hear more from them in the coming weeks. UP Cabinet Approves Setting Up of Tourism Board
The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet on Tuesday gave its approval for setting up an eco-tourism development board to fully utilise the tourism potential of the state. The board will be headed by the state chief minister with ministers of 10 departments as its members, Tourism Minister Jaiveer Singh told newspersons here. The need for the board was being felt for long and a decision to set it up was taken at the meeting presided over by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, he said. The minister said the board will help the state attract domestic and international tourists. Taking Uttar Pradesh’s traditional fragrance industry to the national and global markets, the perfume of 75 fragrances – ‘Meri Mitti 75’ — along with other products were launched on the 75th Independence Day as a part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ celebrations. Created in Kannauj, the perfume capital of India, the rare fragrances are the ODOP (One District One Product) of the district. On Monday, as many as 7 businessmen of Kannauj launched several new perfume products, including incense sticks, scented tri-colour terrazzo, and candles, among others at Lok Bhawan in the presence of Additional Chief Secretary, MSME, Navneet Sehgal. ‘Meri Mitti-75’ perfume has been developed using 75 kg of clay from various parts of Kannauj. Har Ghar Jal in Full Flow: Goa Becomes 1st State to Provide Tap Water Connections to All Rural Homes
With eyes on the 2024 polls, the government’s national scheme to provide potable water supply to every rural household has picked up pace, with Goa becoming the first state to get certified under ‘Har Ghar Jal’ with 100% coverage. All 2.63 lakh households in both districts of the state have now been provided potable tap water connections, at a cost of over Rs 200 crore in the past three years. Among UTs, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu has taken the lead and completed certification with potable tap water connectivity to all 85,156 rural households, with an expenditure of nearly Rs 512 crore in the past three years. The Centre is also inching close to the mark of 10 crore households in the next few days. The country-wide mission rolled out by the government in August 2019 has a 2024 deadline.
