Eagles’ Chris Long skewers Fox News for LeBron James smear

· February 16, 2018 ·

Chris Long was not happy when Fox News host Laura Ingraham took a shot at LeBron James' intelligence on the air Thursday night after the NBA superstar criticized President Donald Trump on an ESPN podcast this week. And as the outspoken Philadelphia Eagles defensive end and two-time Super Bowl winner often does, Long called foul on Twitter. James and Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant weighed in on the president during a pre-recorded conversation with ESPN's Cari Champion in January. "The No. 1 job in America, the point person, is someone who doesn't understand the people, and really don't give a f**k about the people," James said in the video.Calling the comments "barely intelligible" and "ungrammatical," Ingraham advised James to just "shut up and dribble.""I’m numb to this commentary – like. Must they run their mouths like that?" Ingraham said on her show. "Look, there might be a cautionary lesson in LeBron for kids. This is what happens when you … [Read more...] about Eagles’ Chris Long skewers Fox News for LeBron James smear

Trump Rips McCain at Political Rally

· May 28, 2018 ·

President Donald Trump slammed frequent foe Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., who is battling brain cancer, for having voted against one of the measures that would have repealed Obamacare last year, NBC News reported. Speaking at a rally on Nashville, Tenn., and referring to McCain without using his name, Trump said his efforts to scrap President Obama's signature health care law were frustrated by the Arizona senator's decision to give a thumbs-down to the bill on the Senate floor in July. "We had it done folks, it was done, and then early in the morning somebody turned their hand in the wrong direction," Trump said. "The person that voted that way only talked repeal and replace. He campaigned on it." Get More at NBC News … [Read more...] about Trump Rips McCain at Political Rally

Ex-President of Fox News in Talks for White House Communications Job: Sources

· June 27, 2018 ·

Former Fox News president Bill Shine, who resigned last year amid sexual harassment scandals at the cable news channel, is in talks to become the next White House communications director, three sources familiar with the discussions who were not authorized to speak publicly confirmed to NBC News. The White House has been without a communications director for several months since the departure of Hope Hicks in late March. If Shine is offered and accepts the job, he would become the Trump White House's fifth communications director. Sean Spicer, who also worked as press secretary, did double-duty after the inauguration until Mike Dubke started in the role in early March 2017. He left in early June and was replaced by Anthony Scaramucci, whose notoriously short-lived tenure lasted only 10 days. Hicks formally took over the job in mid-August. Shine resigned from Fox News in May 2017 after the network came under fire for its mishandling of sexual harassment claims. Shine has had a longtime … [Read more...] about Ex-President of Fox News in Talks for White House Communications Job: Sources

Top Moments From the Trump-Putin News Conference

· July 15, 2018 ·

President Donald Trump, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Russian President Vladimir Monday, refused to say whether he believed his own intelligence agencies over Putin about interference in the 2016 United States presidential election. In an extraordinary news conference in Helsinki, Finland, just days after the Justice Department indicted 12 Russian intelligence agents on charges of hacking into the Democratic National Committee and Hillary’s Clinton presidential campaign, Trump instead said both the U.S. and Russia were to blame over deteriorating relations.  Here were some of the most stunning moments from a question-and-answer session with reporters that had Democrats and even some Republicans crying foul. Politicians Call Trump-Putin News Conference 'Embarrassing' Trump refuses to defend U.S. intelligence agenciesAssociated Press reporter Jonathan Lemire asked Trump whether he believed his own intelligence agencies or Putin about whether Russians interfered in … [Read more...] about Top Moments From the Trump-Putin News Conference
