State police said six people were killed in five crashes they investigated over the Easter weekend, including three that involved alcohol.The crashes, from Friday to Sunday, only included those on roads and highways the state police patrol. None of the fatal crashes were in the Lehigh Valley.State police say they investigated 476 crashes over the weekend, including 143 that caused injuries and 54 that involved alcohol.The total of crashes was lower than it was a year ago, but fatalities were up by one.Troopers made 359 drunken-driving arrests, which was slightly higher than a year ago. Troopers also issued 7,572 speeding citations, 489 seat belt citations, and 68 child safety seat citations over the holiday weekend.Troop M, which covers the Lehigh Valley, investigated 38 crashes that caused 13 injuries. A 13-year-old Lehigh Valley Academy charter school student is facing terroristic threat charges for allegedly threatening to shoot two of his fellow students.The threats were made online Sunday while the student, who is not being named because of his age, was playing video games online, according to Colonial Regional police.Lehigh Valley Academy administrators were notified shortly afterward by a student who heard the threats being made, police say.Before school on Monday, the Colonial Regional Police Department was contacted and found the 13-year-old boy at his home. He was taken into custody and charged with terroristic threats after approval by the Northampton County district attorney’s office.The two students named as targets were notified, as were their families, according to police. "Best ways to suffocate." "How to: commit the perfect murder." "16 steps to kill someone and not get caught." Her search history suggests malicious intent, the Fairbanks Police Department says, making the subsequent calls for help seem like something darker. On the evening of Nov. 20, 2017, LaFountain called authorities for help at her home on the Fort Wainwright military base in Fairbanks, Alaska, according to police records. Her 13-month-old had stopped breathing. LaFountain called her in-laws, telling them she'd been trying CPR. She called her husband, who was away on deployment.
