HARROWING footage shows a man being beaten to death yesterday by an angry lynch mob who were fuelled by rumours of a child snatching gang prowling the area. Filmed in Bengaluru, in southern India, the disturbing clip shows the blood-splattered victim, 26, being tied up and beaten with iron rods and cricket bats. The lynch mob, which included two children and women, is shown kicking and punching the man who reportedly died in hospital from his injuries. According to local media, the victim had his hands and feet tied with a rope by two lads who dragged him through the streets. The man was spotted talking to kids in the Bakshi Garden neighbourhood and allegedly offering them sweets, reports The News Minute. A viral WhatApp message, which claimed there was a child lifting gang in the area, is believed to have contributed to the violent scenes. THE devastated family of a four-year-old girl found dead at home have paid tribute - as her mum is charged with murder. Carly Harris, 37, was quizzed by cops after the discovery of Amelia Brooke Harris' body in Rhondda, South Wales. She will appear at Merthyr Magistrates' Court tomorrow charged with murder. In a statement released by South Wales Police, the little girl's family said: "On Friday night we tragically lost our baby girl Amelia Brooke Harris. "A loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, great granddaughter, niece and cousin. "Amelia was beautiful both inside and out - and was a fun-loving, caring and bubbly little girl. "She was taken far too early from us and had her whole life ahead of her. "Words cannot convey how we are feeling at this moment in time. "We know our lives will never be the same again." PARIS — French Director Claude Lanzmann, whose 9½-hour masterpiece “Shoah” bore unflinching witness to the Holocaust through the testimonies of Jewish victims, German executioners and Polish bystanders, has died at the age of 92. Gallimard, the publishing house for Lanzmann’s autobiography, said he died Thursday morning at a hospital in Paris. It gave no further details. The power of “Shoah,” filmed in the 1970s during Lanzmann’s trips to the barren Polish landscapes where the slaughter of Jews was planned and executed, was in viewing the Holocaust as an event in the present, rather than as history. It contained no archival footage, no musical score — just the landscape, trains and recounted memories. Lanzmann was 59 when the movie, his second, came out in 1985.
