Microsoft Google v. B.E. Technology: Final Written Decision IPR2014-00039

· May 18, 2015 ·

Takeaway: A prior art reference does not have to disclose the exact terminology used in the claim. In its Final Written Decision, the Board found that all of the challenged claims, claims 11-22, of the ’314 Patent are unpatentable and denied Patent Owner’s Motion to Amend. The ’314 Patent relates to user interfaces that provide advertising obtained over a global computer network. The Board then reviewed the first ground of unpatentability – anticipation of claims 11-14 and 16-19 by Guyot. Jean-Marie Le Pen gestures as he speaks at a meeting in January 2017. Photo: Pascal Guyot/AFP The founder of France's far-right National Front party, Jean-Marie Le Pen, has been charged with inciting hatred for alleged anti-Semitic remarks in 2014, his lawyer said Saturday. SOS Racisme called it "the most anti-Semitic filth", a pledge by the FN founder to put his critics in their place using a pun suggesting Nazi gas chambers. Their property had two homes on it before the fire, but the only one to survive visible behind them was built to fire-resistant standards that went into effect in 2008. The Herrs' home, built in 2010, was scorched and had smoke damage inside so the family is living temporarily in nearby Chico. The Herrs credit the home’s survival to strict building codes and to gravel that encircled the building and kept the flames back.
