Mary Parisien told fellow council members and audience members during a meeting Monday night that she had won a year-long personal protection order in Oakland County Circuit Court this week against Carl Richards. Parisien alleges she went to police after a local business contacted her Oct. 31 to say Richards had been there “bragging about looking into the windows of my home” and then “made a series of grossly inappropriate comments about my person, my body.” The Police Department investigated and turned the matter over to the city prosecutor for a warrant review, Lt. Man sought in woman’s death was wanted for stalking, violating protection orders
The man sought in the shooting of a woman at a southeast Colorado Springs home Friday was already wanted on suspicion of stalking and violations of protection orders, according to court records.Mark Christopher Peters, 46, was described by police Friday as a person of interest in the shooting death in the 3400 block of Galleria Terrace around 6 p.m. He was taken into custody Saturday morning, police said, and is being held in the El Paso County jail on the felony warrants.Police have not identified the victim, but a man at the home where the shooting apparently happened identified the woman who was killed as his daughter. A bullet appeared to have been fired through the home's front door, which had a police measurement stick next to a hole. ARDMORE, Ala. -- A man with a history of domestic violence killed himself after using a rifle to kill three other people including his ex-wife, who had complained in court documents that he was harassing her, sheriff's officials in Alabama said Monday. A judge had reportedly twice denied her requests for protection from abuse orders. Darwin Brazier, 43, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in Limestone County on Sunday. Earlier, Brazier's ex-wife Debra Hartley Rivera and two other people were found dead at a house in Ardmore. Authorities identified the other two victims as Rivera's current husband, Radex Rivera, 41, and their roommate, Timothy James Hayword-Boger. Officers were alerted after a woman told a dispatcher she had received a text message from Brazier saying he had just killed his ex-wife and the others and that he was going to kill himself, according to a news release from Limestone County Sheriff Mike Blakely's office.
