Frank Warren has laughed off rival promoter Ben Shalom as being on his "first rodeo" after offering Joe Joyce another route to fighting Joseph Parker . Warren, whose Queensberry Promotions have an exclusive contract with BT Sports, used the massive platform of Tyson Fury 's world title defence against Dillian Whyte to push an agreed bout between Joyce and Parker. But days later, as he attempted to get the paperwork over the line, the veteran promoter was stunned to learn Parker had signed with Boxxer and Sky Sports. It appeared that New Zealander Parker's big-money deal to join Shalom had put an end to the possible Joyce fight, until the promoter offered a £1.2million purse to the Brit to fight on Sky. But Warren scoffed at the idea, tweeting that Shalom and Parker were simply looking to save face. "How to not make a fight," Warren tweeted alongside a laughing emoji. "1. Get everything you want in a contract & then not sign it. 2. Sign with a broadcaster that the … [Read more...] about Frank Warren takes aim at rival promoter with brutal put-down over fight

Tommy Fury makes vow to “permanently shut up” Jake Paul after signing for fight
Jake Paul has been told that he will be "permanently shut up" after he takes a major step up to face Tommy Fury . The YouTuber-turned-boxer has become one of the most polarising and divisive fighters in combat sports since turning professional in 2020. He's 5-0 since his debut, having knocked out all four of his opponents, but has been often criticised for facing non-boxers, with none of his opponents having had a boxing match before facing him. So he will face a massive jump in competition when he faces the 8-0 Fury, who is the younger brother of world heavyweight champion Tyson. The pair have had a long-running rivalry dating back to the start of last year, and after their December date was cancelled, they have rescheduled for August 6 in New York. “The Paul brothers’ boxing charade is about to come to an end once and for all,” Fury said in a press release ahead of the fight, also mocking Jake's older brother Logan. “I am a boxer. My opponent plays boxing. " Jake Paul has … [Read more...] about Tommy Fury makes vow to “permanently shut up” Jake Paul after signing for fight
Ebanie Bridges’ rival vows to “punch holes” in Aussie boxing beauty after win
Ebanie Bridges has been called out by Australian boxing veteran Shannon O'Connell who vowed to "punch holes" in her rival. Boxing beauty Bridges became world bantamweight champion back in March when she defeated Maria Cecilia Roman in Leeds on the undercard of Josh Warrington's fight with Kiko Martinez. The 'Blonde Bomber' was a fan-favourite in her native Australia before Eddie Hearn brought her to the UK during the pandemic, where she has set up her camp and reached world level. But there are still fights there for Bridges back in her home country, with O'Connell making herself available after a stunning first round stoppage of Sarah Higginson this morning. Bridges and O'Connell have had a long-standing rivalry, although it generally seems to come one way from the Queensland fighter. And after her massive knockout victory today, O'Connell again called for a big domestic fight, saying: "I'm the best female fighter in Australia. Ebanie pretends she doesn't know me because she's … [Read more...] about Ebanie Bridges’ rival vows to “punch holes” in Aussie boxing beauty after win
