The Tiruppur City Police on Tuesday arrested four men on charges of stealing ₹2 crore from the residence of a businessman in the city last year. The accused were found to have purchased houses and vehicles with the stolen cash, investigations revealed. Police sources said that the accused were construction workers and were identified as M. Sathish (29), his younger brother Sakthi (24) along with their acquaintances S. Damodaran (30) and R. Radhakrishnan (53). They seized a car, two motorcycles, ₹16 lakh cash, gold jewellery weighing 30 sovereigns and property documents of four houses that they purchased in the city, allegedly using the stolen cash. R. Duraisamy, owner of a private garment knitting mill, lodged a complaint at the Tiruppur Central police station in January this year that cash and jewellery were missing from his residence after he employed four persons to clean his residence at Kullegoundenpalayam on Mangalam Road between October 2021 and December 2021. Moody’s Investors Service has lowered India’s growth forecast for calendar year 2022 to 8.8% from 9.1% projected in March, citing the rise in crude oil, food and fertilizer prices that will weigh on household finances and spending even as interest rate increases to curb inflation will slow the momentum in demand recovery. The Don't Look Up star, 31, confirmed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Monday (May 23) that she and her art gallerist husband Cooke Maroney, 37, have indeed welcomed their first child together. Lawrence called into Ellen about a month after reports first circulated that she had given birth. "Thank you," Lawrence replied after host DeGeneres congratulated her on her new baby. DeGeneres added that she used to live in the house that Lawrence now lives in with her baby. "Now I live next door to you, and I'm looking at you living in my house with a brand new baby," DeGeneres said. "By the way, I do hear you sometimes talking to him, and it's really cute."
