Former Tribune Publishing Co. chairman Michael Ferro allegedly claimed that a “Jewish cabal” controlled Los Angeles, according to a new report Wednesday by National Public Radio (NPR). NPR reported that at a 2016 dinner in Chicago with company executives, Ferro launched into an antisemitic tirade:At the dinner, as at other moments, Ferro railed against those who he felt were impeding him — including perceived rivals and competitors. Among them: the Southern California billionaire and civic leader Eli Broad, whom Ferro called part of a “Jewish cabal” that ran Los Angeles. The Broad family contributes to a number of public institutions, including popular museums and concert halls. Ferro’s complaints were allegedly secretly recorded by a Los Angeles Times employee, who was allegedly paid a $2.5 million settlement after being fired to keep the story quiet. It was once illegal in Illinois to record conversations without the consent of all parties, … [Read more...] about NPR: Former Tribune Chair Claimed ‘Jewish Cabal’ Controlled Los Angeles
Detroit Free Press staff Published 7:30 PM EST Dec 12, 2018 Tribune Publishing paid the former publisher of the Los Angeles Times $2.5 million — not disclosed to shareholders — to avoid a lawsuit that could have revealed investor Michael Ferro said billionaire Eli Broad is a part of a "Jewish cabal" running L.A., according to an exclusive story by NPR. Broad, who grew up in Detroit, is a prolific philanthropist who lives in Southern California. The Michigan State University alum has given more than $100 million to the school, and numerous buildings and programs on campus bear his name. Davan Maharaj, publisher of the L.A. Times at the time, secretly recorded Ferro making the comment during a dinner at an upscale restaurant in Chicago, NPR reported. A spokesman for Ferro reportedly denied the incident. Maharaj was fired from the Times in 2017 and hired a lawyer to pursue a wrongful termination suit. Tribune and Majaraj agreed to … [Read more...] about NPR: Tribune exec said Eli Broad part of ‘Jewish cabal’

NPR was forced to issue a lengthy correction on Friday after falsely accusing Donald Trump Jr. of lying to the Senate about the plans to build a Trump Tower in Moscow, claiming his statements contradict with Michael Cohen’s plea deal with the Special Counsel. (Associated Press) NPR was forced to issue a lengthy correction Friday after falsely accusing Donald Trump Jr. of lying to the Senate about plans to build a Trump Tower in Moscow, claiming his statements contradicted Michael Cohen’s plea deal with Special Counsel Robert Mueller. The public radio network, which receives federal funds, used Trump Jr.’s Senate testimony transcript from 2017 to report that he said the Trump Organization’s possible real estate deal in Russia “faded away” by the end of 2014. The eldest son of President Trump then denied the deal was being discussed in 2016. “There was never a definitive end to it. It just died of deal fatigue,” he told the … [Read more...] about False claim of Trump Jr. legal jeopardy forces NPR to issue correction
National Public Radio (NPR) made the false claim Friday that Donald Trump Junior’s Senate testimony about a Trump Tower deal in Moscow conflicted with testimony from Michael Cohen — President Trump’s former attorney who is now working with Special Counsel Robert Mueller. In a fake news article titled, “Cohen’s Account Of Russia Talks Raises Questions About Trump Jr. 2017 Testimony,” the far-left NPR misled its readers with the news that:Trump Jr. told the Senate Judiciary Committee in September 2017 that although there had been negotiations surrounding a prospective Trump Tower in Moscow, they concluded without result ‘at the end’ of 2014. ‘But not in 2015 or 2016?’ Trump Jr. was asked. ‘Certainly not ’16,’ he said. ‘There was never a definitive end to it. It just died of deal fatigue.’ Trump’s account contrasts with the new version of events given by Cohen on Thursday in a guilty plea in … [Read more...] about NPR Busted Spreading Fake News About Donald Trump Jr.
