Most New Hampshire residents do not want President Joe Biden to run for reelection in 2024, a University of New Hampshire/Granite State Poll released this week revealed. Overall, the survey found that 65 percent do not want Biden to run again in 2024. Of those, 52 percent “definitely” do not want him to run. This reflects a 12-point increase from the 53 percent who said the same nearly a year ago, in July 2021. Currently, 29 percent say they want Biden to run, but of those, only 9 percent “definitely” want him to run. Again, that reflects an eight-point drop from the 37 percent who expressed support for Biden running for reelection in July 2021. Further, the survey found that the number of Granite State Democrats wanting Biden to run has dropped, plummeting from 74 percent in July 2021 to 54 percent in June 2022. Just ten percent of Republicans and nine percent of independents want to see Biden run again in 2024. Coinciding with that is the fact that Biden remains widely … [Read more...] about Poll: Majority of New Hampshire Residents Do Not Want Biden to Run Again

MORE than 200 candidates are vying for 123 Chinese new village chief posts in Johor this year. State health and unity committee chairman Ling Tian Soon said the list of candidates who had been interviewed were being vetted by the authorities such as the police, to ensure they were fit for the position. “More than 200 candidates were interviewed by a panel formed by the district office after an advertisement on the vacancies was published. “Some new villages had two or three candidates while others had only one,” he told reporters when met after the Johor state assembly sitting in Kota Iskandar, Iskandar Puteri. Earlier in the state assembly, Ling said the move to raise the monthly allowance of Chinese new village chiefs was being discussed with National Unity and Integration Ministry. Senate confirmed justices to end Roe. How will voters react?
This is a carousel. Use Next and Previous buttons to navigate 8 WASHINGTON (AP) — The end of Roe v. Wade started in the Senate. It was the Senate Republican partnership with President Donald Trump to confirm conservative judges, and transform the federal judiciary, that paved the way for the Supreme Court's landmark ruling to overturn the constitutional right to abortion. Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell set the strategy in motion, engineering the Supreme Court's makeover by blocking President Barack Obama's nomination of Merrick Garland and changing the Senate's rules to easily confirm Trump's picks. It was a long game that sought to lock in a conservative court majority for decades to come. Trump and McConnell couldn't have accomplished it alone, needing the backing of almost all Republican senators to reshape the bench. Now, Republicans are heading into a November midterm election that is poised to … [Read more...] about Senate confirmed justices to end Roe. How will voters react?

She added she had “no expectations” of her first grass tournament of the season and paid tribute to the Tunisian fans. “Everywhere I go they’re always here, they’re chanting all the time, it’s amazing,” she said. Jabeur will play her fourth final in a season where she has reached a career-high ranking of fourth in the world and became the first African and first Arab player to win a WTA 1000 event at last month’s Madrid Open. Tenure of top two posts in AIADMK has ended, says C.Ve. Shanmugam
A day after a chaotic AIADMK general council meeting in which party workers booed its leader O. Panneerselvam, its steering committee member and former Law Minister C.Ve. Shanmugam on Friday said the tenure of the coordinator, Mr. Panneerselvam, and co-coordinator Edappadi K. Palaniswami ended on Thursday, as the amendment to the by-laws that facilitated their election to these posts was not validated by the general council. “As of today, Mr. Panneerselvam is the treasurer and Mr. Edappadi K. Palaniswami is the headquarters secretary,” he said at an interaction with journalists outside Mr. Palaniswami’s residence . Flanked by senior leaders S.P. Velumani, D. Jayakumar, Udumalai K. Radhakrishnan, C. Vijayabaskar, Pollachi V. Jayaraman and Thalavai Sundaram, Mr. Shanmugam cited party rules to reject the claims by AIADMK leader R. Nolte: Only the MAGA Movement Could’ve Ended the Atrocity of Roe v. Wade
If you consider yourself a pro-life Republican and weren’t on the Trump Train in 2016, sit your pansy-ass down. Had you and your precious “principles” won the day, Hillary Clinton would have appointed those three Supreme Court justices instead of Donald Trump, and the moral atrocity known as Roe v. Wade would still be a “constitutional right.” We see you out there pretending that’s not the case, and you look ridiculous. For decades, the Republican establishment ran around promising to overturn Roe, and for decades, they failed. And instead of Trump all-stars like Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett and Neil Gorsuch, we got Sandra Day O’Connor, Anthony Kennedy, John Roberts, and David Souter. Roe is dead for only one reason: the MAGA Movement. Without the MAGA Movement, there is no President Trump. Without a President Trump, there is no end to Roe . Elections matter, Never Trump. Elections matter, and despite constant warnings from the MAGA Movement that your … [Read more...] about Nolte: Only the MAGA Movement Could’ve Ended the Atrocity of Roe v. Wade
