Film buffs have spotted an incredible Easter egg from Disney 's The Lion King , in another movie featuring the same voice actor. The animal-themed classic was released in 1994, and is now among one of the most famous children's movies of the era. The unforgettable tale of Simba was brought to life by an all-star cast, including the voice of Mr. Bean, Rowan Atkinson, and the voice of Darth Vader, James Earl Jones. Also voicing another integral character was Nathan Lane, one half of the adorable duo Timon and Pumbaa. Lane went on to star in another family-friendly film, Mousehunt , released in 1997, alongside Christopher Walken. The laugh-out-loud film sees Lane and Lee Evans play brothers who inherit a house, and go on to battle its resident rodent. Dan Crenshaw slams Pete Davidson After ‘SNL’: “He has exposed himself for who he really is”
Dan Crenshaw would like an apology from Pete Davidson after his appearance was mocked on Saturday Night Live , however, he isn't demanding one. "I do not demand an apology. He probably should apologize but I don't want some hollow apology. I think he has exposed himself for who he really is," Crenshaw said during his appearance on CNN's New Day on Monday. "I wish him well." Davidson took a crack on Crenshaw on a "Weekend Update" segment titled "First Impressions," during which he gave his take on candidates running in the midterm elections on Tuesday. "This guy is kinda cool, Dan Crenshaw," Davidson said as a photo of the war veteran appeared beside him on screen. "You may be surprised to hear he's a congressional candidate from Texas and not a hitman in a porno movie. I'm sorry, I know he lost his eye in war, or whatever," Davidson said. Amber Heard’s reference to “bruise kit” makeup goes viral
Video footage of Amber Heard referring to her makeup palette during testimony as a "bruise kit"—before quickly correcting herself—has gone viral on TikTok. Heard, 36, returned to Virginia's Fairfax County Circuit Courthouse on Monday for her defamation trial with ex-husband Johnny Depp , who has sued her for saying she was a domestic abuse survivor in a 2018 op-ed for The Washington Post . While Depp, 58, was not named in the article, the actor's lawyers have argued that it was obvious she was referring to him. Depp filed a $50 million lawsuit against Heard, who has responded by countersuing for $100 million for nuisance. As she returned to the stand, Heard emotionally alleged that she had been beaten by Depp during their ill-fated relationship, which ended in 2016. For his part, Depp had earlier testified that he, too, had been physically abused by his Rum Diary co-star Heard, who he accused of throwing a large bottle of vodka at him, resulting in injuries that … [Read more...] about Amber Heard’s reference to “bruise kit” makeup goes viral

The internet has sided with a woman who upset a couple in a restaurant by eating alone. On Monday, Reddit user Resturant_Conflicts shared the uncomfortable situation on the popular r/AmITheA**hole subreddit. "I have given up on dating but still enjoy date activities," said the 35-year-old: "So once a month I take myself out on a date. I go to the movies, museums and even mini-golf by myself. I always treat myself to a nice lunch or dinner around 3–4pm, after the lunch rush but before the dinner rush so I have plenty of time to enjoy my food." She explained that she always finds a new restaurant to try for her "self-dates," and on Saturday found a hidden Mediterranean place with great decor and music, and only around seven tables. "When I got there only one other table was occupied and I sat in the only two-seater table," she wrote: "The waiter got me my drink and I had just put in my order when a couple walked in. They looked around the small restaurant, saw me at the only … [Read more...] about Internet backs lone diner taking up table as angry couple waiting “huffed”
Watch | Lakhs of fireflies illuminate the Anamalai Tiger Reserve
S everal lakhs of fireflies put on a light show at the Anamalai Tiger Reserve in Tamil Nadu. Fireflies on perched on every plant and tree emitted light at the same time illuminating the entire forest. Officials say this was a rare event and could even be called a ‘world wonder.’ Like in science fiction movies and in fairy tales the Annamalai Tiger reserve has been shining like a magical world for the past few days. Fireflies on one tree begin flashing and this relay followed throughout the forest like a domino effect. Firefly experts say that only males emit light together in trees to attract females. There are around 2,000 species of fireflies and all of them can have different lighting patterns too. This type of synchronous flashing of fireflies had also been observed in neighbouring Parambikulam and Nelliyampathy, and in Maharashtra, too. Lack of lights, night tourism, habitation and vehicle movement are believed to be the reasons for the large population of … [Read more...] about Watch | Lakhs of fireflies illuminate the Anamalai Tiger Reserve

Far-right terrorist Jack Renshaw gives Nazi salute as he is jailed for plot to murder MP
Neo-Nazi Jack Renshaw has been jailed for life with a minimum of 20 years over a politically-motivated plot to kill MP Rosie Cooper. Several supporters shouted "we are with you, Jack" after the 23-year-old was sentenced at the Old Bailey for preparing acts of terrorism against the Labour MP and for threatening to kill a police officer who had been investigating him. Renshaw, who raised his arm in what appeared to be a Nazi salute as he was taken away, pleaded guilty to both offences in June last year. The court had been told that he planned to kill Mrs Cooper with a 19in (48cm) Gladius knife and that his plan had only been scuppered after he announced it during a meeting at a pub in July 2017. Also at the meeting was acquaintance Robbie Mullen, who later shared details of the plan with campaign group Hope Not Hate.
