A shocking discovery Thursday at the Goodwill Industries of Fort Worth sorting center now officially tops the list of bizarre donations they have been forced to handle: an albino, rosy-tailed python. “I was tipping this machine, and when I brought the bin back the snake was hanging over the edge,” said Tassy Rodgers, who works in donation processing. “I was a little freaked out and thinking this cannot be fake; it’s gotta be real.” The snake was very much real, and is now in the care of the Goodwill staff until its rightful owner can be located. The belief is that it did not slither its way into the southeast Fort Worth sorting center and was instead dropped off — either on purpose or by accident — at one of the 38 donation centers in the Fort Worth area. A town is horrified after a local homeowner, who claims to be Jewish, erected a Nazi-themed Halloween display outside her New Port Richey, Florida, home. White House Proposes Merging Education, Labor
White House proposes merging education, labor By JILL COLVIN and KEN THOMAS, Associated Press WASHINGTON (AP) — The Trump administration will propose a major reorganization of the federal government on Thursday that calls for merging the education and labor departments, moving the federal food stamp program to the Department of Health and Human Services and renaming that agency. Mick Mulvaney, director of the Office of Management and Budget, told The Associated Press in an interview that the effort is part of the president's "drain the swamp' agenda" and was aimed at streamlining a long list of overlapping regulations and department functions. Lexington-Bluegrass Association of Realtors (LBAR) Launches App, Just As Industry Giants Merge & New Concerns Arise
Zillow and Trulia, the two largest sites in the home listings game, are merging. These sites enable buyers to navigate an online map to find a home’s value, look at available listings, and connect with local real estate agents. And while the companies, nearly a decade old, have somewhat helped to streamline the home buying and selling process, real estate deals remain a transaction that largely require professional assistance – from agents, to bankers, to attorneys. Even with online assistance from sites like Zillow and Trulia, most homebuyers prefer one-on-one guidance and advice from a trusted professional. The merger, which will result in the two companies becoming by far the biggest online portal in the industry, has caused concern throughout the residential brokerage business. Some are worried that the merger will result in the company having too much power over listings, possibly raising associated fees. There has even been talk that the company might now break into … [Read more...] about Lexington-Bluegrass Association of Realtors (LBAR) Launches App, Just As Industry Giants Merge & New Concerns Arise

Former President Barack Obama’s political organization will merge with Eric Holder’s National Redistricting Action Fund, The Hill is reporting. Obama’s Organizing for Action is folding itself into the action fund – giving the group run by the former attorney general control of Obama’s list of supporters, donors and volunteers, according to The Hill. The merged organization is launching a campaign called, All On The Line, to promote redistricting reform and participation in the 2020 Census. Holder told The Hill that the merger of the two groups is going to "help us have activists all over the country who are fighting for fair maps and more representative democracy." The Hill noted the group will train volunteers and activists in ten states at the heart of legal battles over fair ways to draw legislative boundaries. Those states include Florida, Georgia and North Carolina. Holder said he is legally precluded from using the list of supporters … [Read more...] about Obama, Holder Groups Merge for Redistricting Effort
