Marianne Williamson, the Hollywood spiritual guru with close ties to A-list celebrities, is running for president as a Democrat, she announced Monday evening. Williamson, 66, made her first foray into politics in 2014, when she ran for Congress as an independent. She contested the 33rd congressional district seat once held by Rep. Henry Waxman (D-CA), and came fourth in the “jungle primary.” Democrat Ted Lieu later won the general election. At the time, Williamson — a friend and frequent television guest of Oprah Winfrey — shocked liberal Hollywood by breaking with the Democratic Party, declaring the political system broken and advocating for an alternative. POLITICS 11/02/2018 03:36 am ET Georgia's film industry is now worth $2.7 billion a year in direct spending. By Ed Mazza Vice President Mike Pence tried to share a fairly typical Republican talking point in Georgia on Thursday, slamming Hollywood and the celebrities visiting the state to support Democrat Stacey Abrams, including Oprah Winfrey and Will Ferrell. “I’d like to remind Stacey and Oprah and Will Ferrell, I’m kind of a big deal, too,” said Pence, who is not from Georgia. “And I’ve got a message for all of Stacey Abrams’ liberal Hollywood friends: This ain’t Hollywood. Ed Rogers, The Washington Post Published 10:37 am PDT, Saturday, October 13, 2018 Has the bizarre relationship between President Donald Trump and Kanye West struck a nerve or what? Rather than have the discipline to ignore this bromance, the tiresome Democrats and their phony leftist allies in the media have overreacted and given credibility where very little is due. I've never been much of a West fan but the reaction to West befriending Trump has certainly got my attention. Democrats and their allies are quite literally having a fit that is making them tremble and sputter and say things that are inexcusable. When thinking about why the left has reacted the way it did, it is important to remember that practically nothing West says is particularly insightful. In the Oval Office on Thursday, he actually said, "You are tasting a fine wine. It has multiple notes to it. . .You better play 4D chess with me like it's 'Minority Report.' Because it ain't that simple. It's … [Read more...] about Democrats and the liberal media are afraid of Kanye West. What else explains their behavior?

After 10 years in the making, either this timely documentary that filmmaker Roger Memos has made on the blacklisting of the now 100-year-old actress is seen by the right people in this town who can help move it forward, or it goes on the shelf after it closes its run next Thursday afternoon. “I have just enough money to get it into the Laemmle, but after that, the financial well is dry,” said Memos, who directed and co-produced the 93-minute documentary. “Fundraising has been very tough as many of Marsha’s friends and fans are older and living on fixed incomes, like her.” Hunt still lives in the same stately home in Sherman Oaks … [Read more...] about Blacklisted Hollywood actress lost her career amid fear, ignorance.
