Lyrics on the rapper's first record in four years seemingly confirm the rumours that emerged following the release of his wife's critically acclaimed visual album Lemonade last year. On the title track of the new album, Jay Z repeatedly apologises for past indiscretions , while on another, Kill Jay Z, he addresses the 2014 Met Gala where Beyonce's younger sister Solange launched herself at him in a lift. Human Remains ‘Found in Suitcases’ Sold at New Zealand Auction
New Zealand police have begun a homicide investigation after human remains were allegedly found stashed in suitcases that were bought at an auction in the country’s largest city Auckland. An undisclosed number of remains are believed to have been stored in suitcases auctioned as part of storage unit sale, and brought home by an unsuspecting family after their winning bid. Residents at a home in South Auckland called police last Thursday after making the grisly discovery, police official Tofilau Faamanuia Vaaelua confirmed. Police do not believe the family were involved in the suspected homicide. “The priority for police is to confirm the identification of the deceased so that we can establish the full circumstances behind the discovery,” Vaaelua added. A post-mortem examination was underway and forensic investigators were trying to determine the number of victims, police said. Earlier this year BBC director general Tim Davie revealed that the U.K.-focused BBC News and global BBC World News channels would be replaced by one new channel called BBC News as part of a move to deliver hundreds of million dollars’ worth of cutbacks at the corporation. The decision, which Davie described as one of a number of “difficult choices” management were having to make, came after the U.K. government confirmed it would not increase the licence fee, paid for by the public, which funds the BBC. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday handed over indigenously-developed equipment and systems to the Army which will enhance the operational preparedness of the defence forces and help them to deal with future challenges. These include Future Infantry Soldier as a System (F-INSAS), new generation anti-personnel mine ‘Nipun’, rugged and automatic communication system with enhanced capabilities, upgraded sights system for tanks and advanced thermal imagers. CNG, PNG Prices in Mumbai Today: In a major relief, Mahanagar Gas announced a cut in the prices of kitchen fuel Piped Natural Gas (PNG) and automobile fuel Compressed Natural Gas (CNG). The city gas distributor cut the prices of CNG, PNG, following an increase in allocation of domestically produced natural gas from the government. The price of PNG has been reduced by Rs 4 per standard cubic metre to Rs 48.50 per SCM, while that of CNG by Rs 6 a kilogram to Rs 80 per kg. In the case of PNG users, the savings will be 18 per cent when compared with the most used alternative Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG), it said. IIT Madras Launches Centre for Indian Knowledge Systems, to Focus on Vāstu, Astronomy, Traditions
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras‘ Department of Humanities and Social Sciences has launched a Centre for Indian Knowledge Systems. The Centre will focus on four thematic areas, namely mathematics and astronomy in India, architectural engineering, Vāstu and Śilpa-śāstra, Indian political and economic thought, Indian aesthetics and grammatical traditions. The Centre will also initially design and offer courses related to the thematic areas to the students of IIT Madras. Subsequently, these courses are planned to be offered on the NPTEL platform for wider dissemination.
