U.S. Donald Trump Jr. International Affairs First son Donald Trump Jr. on Tuesday morning slammed Republican Dick Cheney, vice president under President George W. Bush, for reportedly comparing his father President Donald Trump to his predecessor Barack Obama on foreign policy. “Isn't it fitting that Cheney is the one mad that Trump is ending his reckless and endless wars?” Trump Jr. tweeted. “I never knew peace would be so unpopular!” Trump Jr. linked a Washington Post story about a transcript of Cheney privately challenging Vice President Mike Pence on Trump’s foreign policy and drawing a comparison with Obama at a retreat in Sea Island, Georgia. Cheney contested Trump’s decision to withdraw American troops from Syria and his aversion to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). “We’re getting into a situation when our friends and allies around the world that we depend upon are going to lack confidence in us,” Cheney … [Read more...] about Donald Trump Jr. Blasts Dick Cheney: He’s ‘Mad That Trump Is Ending His Reckless and Endless Wars’

The official wasn't authorized to discuss the matter publicly ahead of the regulation's formal publication and spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity. In March, President Donald Trump said his administration would "ban" the devices, which he said "turn legal weapons into illegal machines." Shortly after the president's comments, the Justice Department announced that it had started the process to amend federal firearms regulations to define bump stocks as machine guns. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives sought public comment on the proposal, drawing more than 35,000 comments. The amended regulations reverse a 2010 ATF decision that found bump stocks did not amount to machine guns and could not be regulated unless Congress changed existing firearms law or passed a new one. In the aftermath of the Las Vegas shooting, there was a growing push by some members of Congress to ban bump stocks, but no legislation was passed. At least 10 states have sought … [Read more...] about Trump administration will ban bump stocks, device used in Las Vegas shooting
ONE of Donald Trump's most famous campaign pledges was to construct a "great, great wall" on America's southern border with Mexico. Designs have been revealed but with questions over funding and congressional support for the project, will Trump ever see the "big, beautiful wall" he promised his supporters? Why does Trump want to build the wall? During his presidential campaign, Trump promised supporters he would take a hard stance on immigration and build a giant wall on the country's southern border. He maintained Mexico would have to pay for it, saying he wanted to construct a barrier to keep out illegal migrants. The tycoon said he would build an "impenetrable, physical, tall, powerful, beautiful, southern border wall" between the US and Mexico. In controversial speeches, he branded Mexicans "rapists" and "criminals" who were bringing problems into the United States. The policy proved popular with voters in some heartland Republican areas as Trump unexpectedly swept into the … [Read more...] about Is Donald Trump building the wall, what will the US-Mexico border look like, who’s paying for it and how much will it cost?
POLITICS 12/03/2018 11:00 pm ET Daniels’ attorney Michael Avenatti objected vehemently, calling it “absurd and outrageous.” Brian Melley LOS ANGELES (AP) — Lawyers for President Donald Trump asked a court Monday for nearly $800,000 in lawyers’ fees and penalties from porn actress Stormy Daniels for a failed defamation lawsuit against him. Attorney Charles Harder defended ringing up a nearly $390,000 legal bill for the president and asked for an equal amount in sanctions as a deterrent against a “repeat filer of frivolous defamation cases.” Judge S. James Otero didn’t immediately rule. He noted that fees by Harder’s firm — as high as $840 an hour — were reasonable but the 580 hours spent on the case appeared to be excessive and might be trimmed in his eventual award. He didn’t indicate how he felt about the requested penalties, but had questioned whether attorneys’ fees alone would serve as a … [Read more...] about Lawyers For Donald Trump Seek To Punish Stormy Daniels In Court Fines

(AP Photo/Charlie Neibergall, File) A pair of Las Vegas lawyers asked a federal judge on Tuesday to throw out drug conspiracy charges against their client, arguing that President Donald Trump’s appointment of Matthew Whitaker as acting U.S. attorney general was unconstitutional. “The defense finds itself in uncharted territory,” attorneys Gabriel Grasso and Michael Pariente wrote. “The historical events currently taking place within the United States Federal Government, with a President under investigatory fire clearly seeking to somehow turn the controversy towards his own advantage, has resulted in a never before seen manipulation of the (Federal Vacancies Reform Act). These presidential battle plans have consequences. One of those consequences has landed squarely in the lap of the … [Read more...] about Las Vegas lawyers challenge Whitaker’s appointment as acting AG
