Jared Kushner, a White House senior adviser and son-in-law of President Donald Trump, said Wednesday the testimony of former special counsel Robert Mueller before Congress is "a waste of time." In an interview with CNN host Wolf Blitzer on "The Situation Room," Kushner, who was in Bahrain, was asked why the president would not want Mueller to testify publicly. "When this whole nonsense with collusion with Russia came out, I was the first person to say I'm happy to cooperate with any investigations," Kushner responded. President Donald Trump’s former chief strategist Stephen Bannon has reportedly been subpoenaed to testify before a grand jury in the special counsel probe of Russian links to the president’s associates.Bannon is the first one-time member of Trump’s inner circle known to receive a grand jury subpoena in special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation, the New York Times reports.
