Super Typhoon Jebi Path, Track Update: When Will Typhoon Hit Japan (Kyoto, Kobe, Tokyo)?

WorldSuper Typhoon Jebi, a Category 5 storm that’s become the world’s most powerful in 2018, is threatening Japan early next week, with threats to major cities Kyoto, Kobe, and Tokyo.Japan’s main island, Honsho, home to the country’s largest cities, is at risk for up to a foot of rain from Typhoon Jebi, according to the forecast updates. "Rainfall flooding, high winds, battering waves and coastal flooding are expected as Jebi pushes ashore around Tuesday, local time," according to The Weather Channel.Typhoon Jebi’s path and track update suggests the storm will likely aprroach Japan on Monday or early Tuesday next week, but it won’t be at current strength. NBA mourns death of Gregg Popovich’s wife

SAN ANTONIO (AP) — The NBA is paying tribute to the wife of San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich.Erin Popovich died Wednesday at 67, the team said. Her death came after a long illness, the San Antonio Express-News reported.LeBron James, who was playing Game 2 of Cleveland's first-round series against Indiana, was visibly upset when told after the game."Obviously, I'm a huge Pop fan. I love Pop. That's such a tragedy," James said during his postgame interview on TNT. "My best wishes go out to Pop and his family. That's devastating news."The NBA family, we all stick together. I know we compete every night. But something like this happens, it puts everything in perspective."Popovich is the current Olympic men's basketball coach. Located in the Keihanshin Metropolitan Area in the Kansai region of Japan, it is the second largest city in the country by daytime population. According to a 2015 census the city has around 2.6million inhabitants. What magnitude was the earthquake and how many people were killed? The earthquake hit Osaka on the morning of June 18, 2018, with a 6.1 magnitude on Japan's quake scale - a level that makes it difficult to remain standing. Japanese Worker Who Took Lunch Three Minutes Early Punished, Shamed In TV Apology

World Japan A Japanese worker caught taking lunch three minutes early on 26 occasions over a seven month period was punished by his bosses who then held a televised news conference to apologize for his “deeply regrettable” behavior. The bizarre incident highlights Japan’s ruthless attitude to work at a time when the country is trying to change its culture after a number of deaths and suicides linked to what is called “karoshi,” or death by overwork. For his transgression of leaving to buy a lunchtime bento at 11:57 a.m. instead of noon, the allotted time his hour-long break begins each day, the unnamed 64-year-old official at the Kobe City Waterworks Bureau had half a day’s pay docked, The Japan Times reported.
