Becker and Mrs Becker appeared at a preliminary hearing in the Central Family Court in London on Monday. Lawyers for the pair told Judge Sarah Gibbons that both had agreed to issue divorce petitions. They said both wanted a judge to dissolve their marriage. But a dispute over how money should be split following the breakdown of the relationship has not been settled. Judge Gibbons sat in private for part of Monday’s hearing and placed limits on what could be revealed in media reports. Further court hearings are expected. A judge is due to oversee the latest hearing in the case at the Central Family Court in London on Monday. In late October, Judge Sarah Gibbons was told that each had accused the other of “unreasonable behaviour” and had both issued divorce petitions. Neither Becker, 51, nor Mrs Becker, 42, were in court for that hearing but both were represented by lawyers. Barrister Frances Harris led Becker’s legal team, barrister Max Lewis led Mrs Becker’s legal team. Judge Gibbons had overseen the hearing in public but imposed limits on what could be revealed in media reports. A judge oversaw a brief private hearing at the Central Family Court in London on Wednesday. Becker, 50, was not at the hearing but Mrs Becker was in court. The judge, Recorder Fiona Hay, allowed journalists to attend the hearing but placed limits on what could be reported. Another hearing is scheduled to take place before Christmas. The judge said the hearing concerned the “parties’ finances”. She said Mrs Becker had made an application for “financial remedies”. Becker was represented by barrister Alexander Chandler and Mrs Becker by barrister Emma Sumner. Mrs Becker said nothing to journalists as she left court. They ruled in Mr Mills’ favour on Wednesday. The pair have already staged fights in a family court and in the Court of Appeal. Their dispute has centred on the size of maintenance payments Mrs Mills gets from Mr Mills. Supreme Court justices focused on arguments about alimony paid to cover Mrs Mills’ rent.
